Mia Heather POV The road stretched long and quiet beneath the dim morning lights with the hum of the bikes vibrating through my bones. I sat behind Loren, my hands gripping his sides tightly as the wind brushed through my hair. Trees blurred by, the sounds of birds singing morning praises barely made it through my ears as we sped through the open road of the forest. Three hours in, fatigue began settling into my body, the burn on my forearm throbbing under the pressure of the cool air.
