Mia Heather’s POV The first thing I felt was silence, not the kind that could come from an environment filled with noisy bikers and free wolves but the kind that reminded me that I was still breathing. This was the first time in quite a while that i slept later than 5am without my father screaming into my ears about duty. My eyes flickered open to the sight of sunlight bleeding into the small room through cracked wooden walls, the smell of oil and smoke hung thick in the air with laughter ensuing the atmosphere outside. I stood to my feet, pushing off Loren’s leather jacket that I had used as a blanket, the sheets beneath me weren’t sheets at all but pieces of fabric that had been patched into a web.
