Loren’s POV
I woke up before sunrise with the same feeling I slept with.
For a second I just lay there staring, listening to the birds chirping. I had to do something.
Because the moment I close my eyes, I see Mia, her expressions when she talks about her dreams and the stone and the strange pull she couldn’t explain.
That cursed stone had turned from strange to dangerous too quickly for me to ignore. At first I didn’t think about it much. I saw it as an object tied to bad timing and too many unanswered questions.
But now?
She is hearing things. Now she wanted to return it but she doesn’t know how to.
I say up slowly rubbing a hand over my face.
There was only one person I could go to.
I had to meet her.
She was the only one that had the answers i was looking for.
