Danushiki had woken up from where he slept that morning and washed his face with some water. Like all other Shaingwan males, he proceeded to the deep trenches to dig out diamonds for these fair strangers. They were about to commence digging when the sound of a trumpet blown by a fair soldier in the distance stopped them. “What is it?” Danushiki asked a fellow Shaingwan beside him. “Whenever we hear that sound, we are all required to go and stand on that vast field before the fortress. That is where we’d be being addressed by those fair strangers”. He replied. The man dropped the shovel in his hand and began to walk with the multitude in the direction of the vast field.
