The news of his death cast a shadow over the entire assembly, an undeniable unavoidable heaviness settling upon each soul. "A moment of silence for the loss of your king," Dominic commanded. The courtyard echoed with quiet sadness, showing how much my father, their king meant to them. "Okay moving on now, I have taken a blood oath with Grunade before his passing. He gave me his blessings to take his only daughter," He pointed at me. "Princess Phoebe is no more, from today henceforth, you shall address her as your new Luna." Dominic grabs my hand again pulling me close. He squeezes my cheeks and lands a kiss. I felt like going crazy. My parent's murderer was kissing me in front of my pack and I was powerless to do anything. "Consider yourself lucky princess," he broke away and whispered into my ear. "I have rejected countless potential mates throughout my life." "I hate you." "Doesn't matter. You belong to me now, feel free to commit suicide. Let your parents' sacrifice be for nothing." "I swear, I will have my vengeance on you. Whether it takes me months, years, decades, or even a century... I will be the one to carve out your heart. And I will present it as an offering to my parents's grave." "Yeah, you do you girl," Dominic responded to my threat as if it came from an infant. "If that's your mating vow, here's mine. I promise to keep you safe. I promise to keep you locked within the castle walls. And I promise to break your spirit." We exchanged looks when suddenly, a sharp pain seared through my head once again, it was similar to the one I felt earlier but this time, the pain had intensified into something far more excruciating. Tears streamed down my face as I crumpled to my knees, the agony and torment was unbearable for me to handle anymore. I was Dominic watched as I suffered with amusement, his eyes revealed a twisted pleasure in my torment. "This is getting good." I looked at Reynold as he watched me with a look of concern. I just don't get it, if he does care about me, why betray us? As if to remind me that I didn't have the liberty to be thinking about other things, the pain increases again. My consciousness was slowly slipping away as I fought to stay awake. "What's happening to me?" I cried out. The unanswered question hung in the air, everyone present watched as I rolled around on the floor like a mad person. There was nothing they could do. "Princess..." Lee called out to me, his teeth were clenched. It was a frustration from being helpless, a feeling I was forced to familiarise myself with just a few moments ago when Dominic had my parents surrender their lives. "This shouldn't be happening," Keth couldn't even look. "Reynold, why are you just watching?" My cries echoed throughout the castle for half an hour. Just when it seemed like the pain might subside, it shot back up, reaching even greater heights. My heart throbbed with the pain that pulsed through me, leaving me vulnerable and bewildered. Having reached my limit, I passed out. However, things only got weirder from there. I found myself in what feels like a dream. I knew immediately that it wasn't a dream, it was the same as earlier in the palace - those weird memories. The strange flashes of memories resurfaced, and I was left with a single question as the images appeared and disappeared inside my head. Whose memories were these? The flashes were slower and clearer this time as I was able to depict some of its contents. I found myself in an unfamiliar place, it was a bustling environment teeming with all sorts of people. The altar before me immediately caught my attention, it was adorned with a grand flame. "This design... It's identical to the pictures Mother showed me about the coming-of-age mating ceremony."A ceremony I wouldn't be having all because of Dominic. The memory continued playing in my head, I stood facing a large, indistinct figure. My hand extended towards him, it was a silent invitation for connection. His features remained obscured. It was all a blur. He neither accepted my gesture nor responded in the way I expected. Instead, he uttered a string of words. However, I struggled to comprehend what he was saying as his voice was distorted. The flashes stopped and I woke up to the faces of Reynold and Dominic hovering over me. "How long have I been out?" "15 minutes," Reynold replied. "It felt like a year... So many memories. I could even feel emotions that matched each scene that played in my head: "Here," Reynold offered me his hand. "You've been through a lot. I'll take you to your room." I was reluctant to accept his help, but right now, I could barely feel my legs let alone move them. Heck, half of my body is numb to the bone. "Don't expect a thank you," I said to him. Reynold smiled, "Never, it's my job." He wraps my hand over his neck to support me as we move to my room. Moments later, I finally reached my room. Reynold brought me to my bed where I sat. "That will be all now." "Yes, My Luna." "I am not your Luna!" I refuted his claims while he walked away. "Now let's see." I closed my eyes, trying to recollect and reorganize all the memories that I could. The most crucial one was what the blurred-faced man said to me... "I Alpha D**ni, r*j*** you ** my L*." While cracking my head to solve this puzzle, it dawned on me... "Alpha Dominic," I said with spite. "What was he doing in my visions?
