Lysander’s POV
“Why should the Luna’s chambers be searched? She is clearly the victim here,” I said, looking from my mother’s face to Rina’s.
“That is only what you think,” my mother responded, while Rina nodded in agreement.
“What are you driving at? I don’t understand either of you.”
“You might think Rebecca is a poor victim, but what if she isn't?” Rina asked, her voice laced with suspicion.
“Aside from that, in your decree, you stated that every chamber in the pack mansion must be searched,” my mother added. “Yet, you intend to skip hers. Isn’t that unfair to the rest of us?”
It took everything I had to hold back a laugh. I didn't know what they were trying to achieve, but the only thing that felt unfair was subjecting Rebecca to this.
