Dear Lucille,
I really appreciate you taking the time to write me back. Having your letter and any news at all gives me hopeful thoughts when I have trouble sleeping, which is almost every night these days. Even then, I feel lucky when I grab few hours.
You suggested I should write to Brad, and that’s just something I’ll have to keep on the back burner. He was furious with me for sending him to you. It wasn’t that he’s so attached to me. He mostly didn’t want to leave his friends. I can’t imagine he’d miss his school. That place is such a dump.
Another reason is I want to step back and give him a chance to connect with Jack. I don’t expect Jack to warm up to being a full-time father. Someday if things work out I want to be back in that role. For now, I can hope that Jack will be a f
