"Hi Joan you sounded like it was serious" Adella was breathless from running to meet her course mate.
Joan offered her a bright smile " It's not really bad but I can't believe it thou"
"What happened?" she was nervous
"Adella we got in-Kross group, can you believe it? I just placed the application for our internship I didn't think it will work out"
"oh my God, are you serious ? the Kross group i know? The biggest multinational conglomerate in L.A?" Ady was so surprised she never believed she could get accepted in a place like that.
Adella knew she had the brains but a company like that was hard to get into, because they didn't want rookies to teach but competent people.
"I'm so happy, I just applied in faith"
"Thank you for applying for me too, I'm really grateful" adella thanked her friend and the both headed back to their different homes.
She arrived at home to see a black mercedes parked in front of their house. "Who came to visit?" She wondered but remembered clearly where she saw the car
"She came" she smiled
*LAX Airport*
"Yoo, little girl" Alex waved at the girl standing at the arrivals area
"You came, thought you had a shoot? " she scanned him from head to toe trying to hide the blush that formed on her cheeks.
"I rescheduled, I wanted to be the first person to see you and also bring you to that cold hearted brother of yours to see his reaction" he ruffled her hair as he spoke.
"I'm not a child anymore Alex, stop ruffling or patting my head like you used to" she complained
"oh my bad" he raised his hand in a I surrender gesture.
This was the problem he never saw her as a woman. He has never considered her a grown up but a little girl who he looked after years back.
The smile on her face fell but she composed herself
"Here, my bag and let's go I'm beat"

"Come in " Jayden said after eyeing the door for a while
"Sir the section managers are ready with their reports"
"I'll be in the conference room in five"
"Yes sir" his secretary bolted out of the room before his boss found anything wrong with the minutes he had handed over to him a while ago.
The presentation went well contradictory to what the managers had expected.
Jayden walked out of the room with hands in his pocket not sparing a glance at any of them.
"Seems like he is in a bad mood"
" I think he's in a good mood rather" another added
"who cares, at least we are off his radar for now"
*Fresh fold laundromat*
"This place hasn't changed at all adella, it's just like years ago" Jacqueline commented as she looked around the laundromat which belonged to Adella's grandmother.
"Yes it is"
"Are you back for good?Jackie"
"Hmm, you could say, since my crazy woman is off my neck for now"
Adella didn't want her to relieve the bad memories she had so she quickly changed the topic.
"So how was Switzerland"?
"Fine, I managed well "
"Adella hurry! your grandmother fainted outside" a little boy ran in yelling
Jackie and Adella got up with the speed of lightening running towards where she was
"Grandma! Grandma! what happened"
*City hospital*
Adella paced back and forth in front of the examination room. She was very scared now.
"She'll be fine don't fret " Jackie comforted her
The tears in Adella's eyes were threatening to spill from her eyes already.
The doctor came out and she rushed to meet him
"How is she? Doctor" she inquired
"She's stable now- just her symptoms showing up and her condition is getting worst quickly though, she'll be in pain for sometimes after waking up " he placed his hand of her shoulder
Adella's shoulder slumped, she turned and buried her face in Jackie's chest, she was sobbing
"What can I do to help her Jackie, I'm tired already, nobody is going to give me a loan of that amount "
" I can help you Adella but I don't think you'll like my idea"
Adella looked up at her friend already understanding what she was hinting at, she moved away from her.
"I won't sell my body for money" she declared
" I know right" Jackie forced herself to smile

Jayden looked at his wrist watch it was 8 pm already he sighed tiredly, deciding to go see Kyle in his new pub.
He arranged all the documents he was going to review the next day .
*Club Eclipse*
Jayden walked through the swarm of people, heading to the VIP lounge. The girls stared at him seductively and in awe. It has been a while since he hooked up with girls, he had been busy but tonight he was going all in.
"Hey man, thought you were busy to come over" Kyle asked him
"Should I go back?"
" Oh no of course, but you have to spend money my man"
"Yeah so I wanted you to tell me what you think about this new proposal" he handed the file over to Jayden
" It's a good idea, it should be concensual" Jayden added
" My manager thought it would be a good idea, as it would bring more customers, the women and men would be special too, they won't serve outside. "
Kyle placed a card on the table and slided it over to Jayden "Why don't you be our first customer jk"
Jayden was used to this kind of lifestyle, women were nothing less than s****l instruments for him

"Sir I think I have a proposal for our club" the manager said hesitantly
