She stepped into his office but he wasn't on his seat, remembering the last time she was here and what happened made her cringe. Jayden walked out of his connecting room to find her standing in front of his desk waiting for him. "Good morning Sir." She managed to say as she was feeling very uncomfortable in his presence. He said nothing. Silently, he walked to his desk, pulled out a document and handed it to her. "Move to the hotel department by the end of today" "What?" she was totally shocked "But..Sir? I" She couldn't complete her statement. She was beyond flustered. He got up to attend his meeting with the directors and shareholders. Adella couldn't keep it in any more, she threw the files on the floor which made him turn to look at her, he was about to open the door. "Unbelievable! you harassed me and I'm the one getting punished ? She asked him in total disbelief. He turned fully.Folding his arms, he looked at her directly in her eyes. " You still want to see me even after what happened.?" "You bastard. Don't you think you owe me an apology?" She was beyond angry right now. He turned around to leave not wanting to hear more of her whining. "You really think you can get away with this huh? I'm suing you Jayden Kross. I know i might not win but at least I'll make sure everybody knows what kind of disgusting person you are" He leaned on the door ."Sue? seems like you've forgotten you are a final year student." he seemed bored with the conversation. "I didn't touch you Adella" he reminded her "You tried to. " a tear fell from her eyes. "You think women are toys right? You have a sister too. I wonder what exactly you learnt from your mother to behave like this " her tears kept rolling down her cheeks. Jayden aura blazed with fire immediately. He took long steps towards her. His eyes were filled with rage he grabbed her harshly. "What the hell did you say?" Adella was a bit scared, but she was not going to show it. She felt wrong too. "You heard me, I asked what kind of Mother trained a man like you?" He pushed her painfully to his desk, gritting his teeths. His fingers digging deep into her skin. "Submit your resignation by the end of today or you won't like what I'll do to you" he pushed her aside. "You can't just throw me out " she retorted. He threw the files and everything on his table including his work laptop. "Get the f**k out of my office" he screamed at her. She ran out his office shaking. "Did she say too much?" She felt bad. No, he behaved inappropriately with her and didn't care to apologize. Jayden bent his head trying to use the method his therapist taught him. He counted till ten but the memories kept flooding in. His mind traced back..... The little boy not more than eight ran into his room locking the door after hearing his parents conversation. "I don't want him! he's a stain in my life. The biggest mistake In my life." The woman yelled as she was dragging her luggage down the staircase. "Please, Stella. I'll give you enough money don't do this" Her husband pleaded with her. "I can't bear to look at him. I won't. He's yours deal with him. That voice,he thought he had buried it completely, but Adella's words somehow managed to rip the bandage off. End of flashback.. Jayden took the office phone. he called his secretary. "Reschedule the meeting for another day" " Okay Sir." Later that night, in front of a 24 hours convenience store.. Jackie leaned against the store wall, one heel resting on the wall behind her. She dragged her cigarette blowing air like a challenge. The city was lively but nothing excited her for now. A black Aston Martin pulled over in front of her. "Never thought I'll meet you here" Kyle raised an eyebrow. "Well, well, Who do we have here? she tossed her cigarette to the floor squashing it with her shoes. "You didn't pretend not to recognise me today like you did the other day at the bar." He moved closer to her She stared into his eyes. She didn't flinch. She never did. She'd seen enough of life. She initially pretended not to know him the night he approached her in the club. She didn't like to keep in touch with men she slept with. It was purely business. Kyle had been going to the same club since he met her, with hope that he'd see her again. Luckily for him he did but she pretended not to know him. "That makes us two" She pushed herself up from the wall. He stepped closer to her. " You are not shaken that much right? "You think a guy with a handsome face and nice d**k is enough to rattle me? she scoffed. "I've seen too many" . "Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that" he tried to reason with her. She laughed. A laugh without emotions. It was the coldest laugh he'd ever heard before. "I just want us to talk" "About?" she asked him "Why do you do it? he looked at her deeply "Sleep with men for money, you mean.? Life's a b***h and she charges rent. Mr handsome" "I shouldn't have touched you. I mean you were drunk but I" he couldn't complete his statement. He felt bad thinking she was avoiding him because he slept with her after trying to save her from those men. "I was drunk yeah. But not stupid" "You knew?" he seemed surprised. She got into her car. "If you feel bad then pay me." She stretched out her hand . He quickly placed his business card on her palm. She wasn't expecting a card but she smiled after reading the content." You own a club.hmm. Interesting" she revived her car. " Laters, Mr handsome. She sped off. Kyle took a long breath. He looked at her car until it disappeared from his sight. What was this feeling? Did he feel sorry for her? No he fell for her. He fell for a woman like that. He smiled remembering something. she said. "She's beautiful" he got into his own car and drove off.
