Adella rushed out of the office. The disturbing scene she stumbled upon etched into her memory.

She just saw her boss with a woman on his desk

"What the hell?!" She screamed. They had no shame. Thankfully, they weren't naked she didn't see much just their movements, to know exactly what they were doing.

Some minutes earlier...

" Knock knock" She called softly, waiting for his reply

She was about to go back when she heard "Yes, yes" Thinking he had answered her, she pushed open the door, Innocent and unaware

Inside Jayden's office...

"Who is she Jk?" Olivia asked, clearly enjoying been seen with him like this.

He stared long and hard at the door where the girl had just walked out of, fury flashing in his eyes "How dare her? Enter his office like it was her bedroom.

"Leave. I'll see you later" he grabbed his coat as he headed outside he needed to set some things straight.

Adella gave an excuse to secretary Alex. She didn't know how to face Jayden, for today.

"Where is miss Dawson?" he asked his secretary who almost pissed his pants. The intensity of the glare in his boss's eyes told him something had definitely happened.

"She left Sir. She had an emergency."

The smile on Jayden's face gave his secretary chills. He never saw the man smile if it was not necessary, like signing deals with foreign partners. He felt bad for the girl.

Adella met up with Jackie at her house.

"Jackie, have you gotten an offer for me?"

"Ady do you think you can go through with this? Jackie's voice laced with concern.

"It would be a disaster if you bolt out of the room at the last minute" Jackie joked, trying to make Ady smile.

"I need experience right" she looked at her friend who was feeling reluctant to allow her do something like this.

"Okay. It's not the end of the world. You are doing it for a noble cause" she patted her shoulders

"Grandma wouldn't understand. She can never find out"

"Of course, she never will..

"Let's get you ready Ady" Jackie dragged her into her bedroom to dress her up.

*Moonlight pub*

"Why are we here Alex? Kyle asked Alex looking around the place.

"I'm going to be away for a month man. I wanted us to spend time together for a while" he answered him smiling.

"I feel betrayed. You should be spending this money at my place. Do you want me to go out of business?

"Ay, you fool! How can a boss get wasted at his own place? what do you think Ice prince?"

"You are right. Maybe some other time " Kyle answered instead.

"I won't have the time to get laid for a month. I've got to enjoy myself today" Alex chirped.

Jayden was scrolling through his phone and sipping his drink when a familiar figure caught his sight.

Some hours ago...

"Where are we going, Jackie? Adella asked, tugging at the hem of her dress. She was clearly uncomfortable with how short it was.

She kept pulling it down trying to cover her legs. The neckline revealed too much cleavage also.

"You look weird, doing that Ady , we are going to a club. I know you've never been to one before"

"A club? what will we do there?" she asked her body tensed defensively

"We'll take it slow. Don't fret"

Jayden couldn't believe his eyes. It is definitely her. She had played innocent at the office today now here she is dressed like a slut.

This was exactly why he hated women. Always deceptive, pretending in every thing they do. His fist clenched, his jaw ticked.

He stood up.Anger radiating off him. He was going to show her where she belonged

"Where are you going JK? Alex grabbed his hand

"I'll be back soon. I'll bring some good food for you to chew" he smirked.

"Get going then, I love them juicy" he teased, giving him a playful smack to receive a glare from JK.

As he reached the spot he had seen her,she was gone.

"f**k Alex. I lost her" he stomped his feet.

As he looked around he saw her running out of the club. She was on a call.

Adella ran out that godforsaken place that was choking her. Moments ago, She got a call from the hospital. Her grandmother was awake and asking for her.

She had to change her clothes her grandmother would definitely freak out seeing her like this.

She changed into something decent

"Granny! " she rushed hugging her tightly with tears of joy streaming down her face

"My little girl, I'm fine. Don't bother yourself" Gweneth comforted the girl who clung to her.

"I'll make sure you get that surgery, Granny. Just hang in there. okay?

"Leave it my child. The money is too much. You've done enough"

"No. you can't leave me like that. I'm doing it for myself then" Adella replied firmly. Her voice filled with determination.

"Okay my baby. Do whatever you like" she gave her a smile .

*Next day at kross Group*

Jayden sat at the edge of his desk. He was in a quiet war with himself, deliberating whether he should make the call or not. Finally he decided to "It's purely business" he thought

"Hello. He's awake, he needs you" his tone sounded more distant and cold than usual

"How much are we talking about" The woman's voice sounded uninterested.

"Name it. I'll wire it to you"

"alright, I'll send the amount you have the account" she ended the call.

Adella didn't know how to face Jayden since the incident, especially now they are going on a small business trip together to Inspect the Kross hotel subsidiary in Santa Monica.

"Good morning Sir" She greeted him without looking at him directly.

"Let's go. Take all the necessary documents with you" he reminded her

She glanced at him from the corner of her eyes. Her boss was undeniably handsome. He was wearing a black tuxedo, that fit him properly.

His dark hair slicked back with some strands falling to the side of this face. His lips were full, pink and moisturised. And that height, tall and commanding what something most women would crave for.

"He could turn heads anywhere he walks into" she thought to herself with a blush on her cheeks. She couldn't believe she was checking him out. "Ohh boy! he did smell divine".

After hours of traveling, the driver finally announced. "We are here Sir"

Jayden stepped out of the car and Adella quickly followed.

After resolving the issues they had come to take care of it was late and travelling was not an option.

"Bring the meeting minutes and strategic plan to my room" he told her as he walked into his suite not waiting for her reply.

Adella didn't know why but she felt chills run down her spine. The thought of entering his room alone made her feel a little edgy.
