"You majored in marketing and international business"

"Yes Sir " Adella nodded her nerves settled.

She was in the presence of the young business tycoon, the CEO of Kross group. Jayden Kross. She couldn't believe it herself.

"So, what are your long-term goals?" he asked her, snapping her back to reality.She didn't expect this kind of question.

"In the long term, I hope to take on a strategic role in international brand management. I want to help companies like Kross Group expand into emerging markets while maintaining a strong, authentic connection with local consumers and I’d love to lead a regional division or work in global market strategy." She answered him diplomatically

"You don't plan on establishing yourself one day then, you want to keep working under another" deadpanned Jayden

She bit her lips she answered him how she was taught- to entice her interviewer. In normal sense, bosses want workers who are going to stay for a very long time.

"No sir, I actually do plan to establish myself one day , but I believe inorder to lead you need to learn too and Kross group is the best place for me to understand how companies succeed and deal with other issues"

Jayden stared at the girl briefly. She had potential he could see from her resume she's a topper in her school but not only that he read all her proposals,they were good.

"Submit a proposal to me on how Kross airline could boost their on flight sales" he handed her the file

Adella could feel excitement course through her veins. She collected the file "O-Okay Sir".

She stood up to leave when the door was suddenly opened.

"JK! JK! " the girl kept repeating loudly like a little child

Sophie rushed into the office excitedly to meet her brother JK who didn't seem pleased with her little stunt. Alex walked into the office too with her.

"Ay, Jk you haven't changed at all, still looking so handsome and angry of course" she chuckled softly

"I'm in a meeting Sophie"

Sophie realized there was another person in the room.

"Ohh! I'm so sorry, I was so excited to see you and I called your secretary he said you were free also" she gave an apologetic smile.

"You can leave, submit the proposal before lunch time" he ordered to have her rush out.

Alex had been staring at the beautiful girl in the office for a while now, she looked innocent and scared. He'd definitely get her contact today.

"JK, must have scared her " he muttered under his breath as he watched the girl hurried out.

"How did you find my surprise?" he asked Jayden with a boyish smile

"Rude" JK replied

Jayden was happy to see his sister, but didn't show it. He didn't know how to, years of training had morphed him into something else. Sophie understood him more than anything.

She wrapped her hands around him and gave him a tight hug, tears slipping out of her eyes.

"Awnnn, brother and sister reunion. So touching I should take a picture" Alex said as he took a picture of them.

"Don't you dare" Sophie warned him

"Let's go to Kyle's club JK"

"Don't worry she's not a child anymore" Alex smiled to have Sophie roll her eyes at him.

*Club Eclipse*

Kyle sat in his office, his mind went back to the event that took place yesterday.

Flashback

"Let's go up pretty girl " two men were touching a drunk woman inappropriately.

The girl smiled at them trying to stand up but she was too drunk to get up.

There was something that bothered Kyle, the girl smiled with tears in her eyes. He wanted to ignore but he couldn't. He walked over to them

"I think the lady is too drunk to make that kind of decision"

"How is it your business? she's a slut and we'll do whatever we want with the likes of her" one of them slurred. The smell of alcohol coming from him was strong.

Kyle didn't know why but he grabbed her as they pulled her with them. " Let her go, s*x should be concensual with a sound mind"

By now the men were irritated and they tried to attack him, but it wasn't hard to dodge their blows as they were drunk and weak. He punched them on their faces causing them to faint.

He took the drunk girl from there. She was protesting a bit, so he got her a room so men like that won't come for she was too drunk.

"Why, do you want me too? Tell me how you like it? " she slurred.

She came close to him but he pushed her back.

She gave out a long laugh but with tears streaming down her cheeks. " You don't want me too".

He came close to wipe her tears but she grabbed his Jacket kissing him like her life depended on it. He kissed her back, slow and lewdly.

* Present day*

"Sir your friends are outside" a worker announced, bringing him back to reality.

"O-OKAY! " Kyle said wondering why they were here so early.

The reunion was nice as Sophie told them every thing that happened when she was in South Korea. She went to further her studies and now she's back even if she had no interest in the family's business.

She loved photography and decoration because of a special someone who she admired growing up. Even if he never noticed her she loved him all this while.

"Alex" she thought as her heart squeezed seeing him smile without a care in the world.

*Kross Group*

Adella walked to the secretary's table to submit her proposal.

"He said to submit yourself" he informed her

"Okay is he inside"

"Yes he is. Please knock before entering"

She nodded and made her way to his office. She knocked after a few seconds he asked her to come in.

"Good day Sir. The proposal is ready" She handed it over to him.

Jayden read it word for word in front of her and kept it aside before looking up at her "Why don't you give me a pitch"

She froze for a while but composed herself immediately. "Okay Sir".

After giving her pitch, Adella stood in front of him waiting for his response but he kept quiet.

After some time, he called his secretary. "Arrange a space for her beside you".

"You can go, Martins will put you through" he dismissed her.

Adella couldn't hide the smile forming on her face and he noticed it. "Thank you sir" she made her way out.

She noticed her boss didn't talk much.

She was so happy, finally something to celebrate about .She was on her way home unaware of the dire situation at home.
