My heart skipped erratically while I waited outside the emergency room, my mind racing with worry and fear. The minutes felt like hours as I anxiously anticipated any news about Narih's condition. I asked the doctor to run a full checkup on her to make sure there were no serious damages that caused the bleeding.
The noise coming from the nurses and patients passing by and going around added to my already heightened state of anxiety. I couldn't help but wonder if Narih was receiving the urgent care she needed. The chaotic atmosphere only intensified my desire for answers and a glimmer of hope for her recovery.
"Hey, she's going to be fine!" Kenzo said, trying to reassure me and ease my worries. "The doctor said it's just a minor injury, and they've already started treating her. Let's try to stay positive and trust that she's in good hands. I know that they are taking all the necessary measures to ensure her well-being." His words provided some comfort, but I couldn't shake off the lingering concern until I saw Narih with my own eyes, safe and sound.
"It's all my fault, Kenzo! I brought these all to her. I should not have asked her to join me to try and save my reputation!"
"I once had a talk with Narih about taking responsibility for our actions, and she assured me that she decided to join you willingly. It's important not to blame yourself entirely. Let's focus on supporting her recovery and learning from this experience. She even told me that she was ready to die for you and fight against those people who were hurting and taking advantage of you. So, trust her that she will successfully fight this and be better soon as expected! She is a strong gal like you!" Kenzo kissed my hand and said, "I believe in both of you. Together, you can overcome any obstacle that comes your way. Remember, love and support are powerful tools in healing. Let's stand by her side and show her that she is not alone in this journey."
Kenzo then scooted me in for a hug. "I missed you so badly! I'm sorry that I caused you so much pain and insecurities during the times I fought to hold on to you. I'm sorry I had to fight alone when I should have fought with you by my side."
Tears of relief rushed through me, and I immediately fell into sleep, exhausted from the emotional rollercoaster of the day. As I held him in my arms, I couldn't help but feel grateful for his unwavering support and encouragement. With Kenzo by my side, I knew we would face whatever challenges lay ahead with strength and resilience.
I woke up feeling a renewed sense of determination and hope. The weight of the problems I was carrying seemed to lighten up a bit until my mind remembered the reason for us sleeping outside the benches of the cold corridors of the hospital. "Narih!"
I shot up from my seat and immediately rushed inside her room. But I was frozen by the sight that greeted me. I was anticipating seeing Narih lying motionless on the hospital bed, weak and drained from all the happenings yesterday, as all normal beings should; however, that was not the case. Narih was having the greatest s*x of her life with Tim.
"Let them finish first." Kenzo grabbed me by the hand and silently pulled me out of the room.
I was stupefied; I was flabbergasted! I thought she did not like him! My mind raced with confusion as I tried to process what I had just witnessed. I just couldn't believe my eyes! How could Narih be engaging in such an intimate act with someone she claimed not to like? Doubts and questions flooded my mind, leaving me feeling happy?
"She is doing it! She is finally doing it!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with a mix of shock and excitement. The realization hit me that Narih had overcome her reservations and was now embracing her feelings for Tim. It was a moment of triumph for her, but it also left me wondering about the complexities of human emotions and the unpredictability of relationships.
"I told you, she is strong." Kenzo couldn't help but giggle.
"Are you aware of Tim getting into Narih's room?" I asked, sitting back beside him while I crossed my arms over my chest. All worries had been washed away.
"Well, while you were asleep, Narih woke up and told the doctors to let her see Tim. The doctors were bewildered, but when Tim came, still in a wheelchair due to the damage he received from the abuse, Narih asked him loudly, in front of all the nurses and doctors, to have it with him. She was in anesthesia, and the doctors tried to explain to her that it wasn't the right time, but she insisted. Tim hesitated at first but eventually agreed to go into her room. It was a bittersweet moment, as we all knew the risks involved, but Narih's at it, surprising everyone."
"What?! But...when...when did that happen?" I looked at my wristwatch, and my jaws dropped when Kenzo responded, "Three hours ago?"
Oh no! That girl!
I stood up from my seat and rushed back to Narih's room, but this time, I saw her sleeping peacefully in Tim's arms, completely unaware of the chaos she had caused. I couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and frustration at her obliviousness to the consequences of her actions. I slit a small smile and quietly closed the door behind me, deciding to let her sleep and deal with the aftermath later.
"I'll go to the bathroom first. I'll go get something to eat after. What do you want?" I asked Kenzo.
"Go to the bathroom, and I'll wait for you at the canteen, then we'll order something for the lovebirds!"
I nodded in response, and as I walked away, my phone vibrated, and I immediately reached into my pocket to check the notification. It was an email from GRIVA asking for my immediate presence to resolve my issue.
I heaved a sigh, realizing that I couldn't escape the consequences of my actions just yet. Reluctantly, I turned around and headed back towards Narih's room, mentally preparing myself for the inevitable confrontation with GRIVA, but I halted as an immense dizziness suddenly washed over me. I leaned against the nearest wall, trying to steady myself and understand what was happening. It felt as if the world around me was spinning out of control, and a wave of nausea threatened to overcome me.
I saw Kenzo rushing to me. "What is happening? Are you ok?" he asked with concern, his voice filled with worry.
I struggled to find my words, my head still spinning. "I don't know," I managed to stammer out, gripping onto Kenzo's arm for support. The dizziness intensified, making it difficult to focus on anything until I gave in to the darkness.
While my eyes were still closed, I heard annoying cries register in my ears, making my brows furrow in confusion. Slowly, I regained consciousness and opened my eyes to find myself surrounded by concerned faces. "Stella! Stella! Don't leave me! Please! I'll die when you leave me!"
Narih?
I let out a frustrated grunt and tried to prop myself up off the bed. "Shut up, Narih!"
Narih stopped her wailing and rolled her eyes. "She's fine! I told you!" She pointed at me with a smirk. "See? She's awake now."
"What happened?" I asked weakly as Kenzo helped me lean against the headboard.
I saw a doctor who came in with a clipboard in hand, wearing a white lab coat. She introduced herself as Dr. Ramirez and began talking. "Hello there, Ms. Del Mundo, right? Well, you don't have to worry so much about your sudden fainting. You were stressed, and it was just a momentary lapse in consciousness. We ran some tests, and everything looks normal. It's important to take it easy and manage your stress levels now that you have a baby in you." Dr. Ramirez smiled reassuringly before jotting down some notes on her clipboard.
"No."
