JERRY POV
Of all the people , seriously?,,, kiara,,,,, Jerry couldn't wrap his head around it, he knows for certain that, the night would be terrible,,, opening the door to my apartment, I already feel like i freely showed a witch the fastest way to get me,
Jerry's apartment wasn't like merit's ,
it was also organized and neat.
He liked how tidy it is, so when you say that there isn't a trace of dust on every inch of the floor and walls or the furniture, he makes sure it's been well taken care of.
The first thing he did when entering the apartment, when he stepped inside the house was taking off his shoes, after placing them next to the doorway.
The second thing he did was turning on the lights, merit followed from behind,,, he knowing merit's ways knows she must be looking around for faults,, she being around at his apartment already made him sick, her attitude towards the place, he wasn't ready to add that up .
He then takes off his jacket, which also goes to the small hallway leading to the living room. Jerry was not one to show his emotion through his actions
KIARA'S POV
Kiara's eyes widen in shock when she sees the interior of the home, it looks very nice, really..really nice, she thought to herself, the living room had a nice fireplace with the sofa and coffee table right by it, the kitchen was huge and bright, everything looked so clean it almost didn't look like he lived here
"I can't believe this, woah there's actually something decent he owns" she said quietly
she thinks as she looks at all his belongings
She sees some random things here and there, some pictures she guess it belongs to a past lover, but she doesn't really care what it does and where it came from,
After putting down her bag she walks over to a window
" it's not bad here " kiara said, turned and looks at Jerry
Jerry knew she was finding a way to humiliate him and he wouldn't fall for it
" we should get started"
" ooo mmmm straight to business, for the first time, I'm impressed " kiara said as she walks to the sofa, she sits
Jerry brings out some files from his briefcase, lays them in front of kiara
" go through them" he stands up
" and you are?... " kiara couldn't believe he just dropped the files and he's about leaving
" I need to shower" Jerry walks towards his room
" excuse me? I could also use a shower, u think I'd leave my precious home and decide to come down here to watch you shower? when we have work to do" kiara was already angry
" I've got lots of towels, you could make use of one" Jerry replied and leaves
Kiara couldn't believe her ears, that very moment she wanted to leave but she remembered the Job was hers, he could do what he please,
she decided to handle herself till she gets the needful from him
She took a long deep breath, picks up the files and goes through it,
Jerry comes out of the shower, his hair slightly wet, shirtless, with a mini hand towel and he wore just a pair of black basketball shorts with the Adidas logo on them
Kiara turns, looks at him, she gave a slight smile,
" You should get dressed"
" what, are you falling for me?" Jerry replied her as he wiped some water off his hair and walks to where she sat,
" Even in your widest dreams, it can never happen" kiara replied already feeling irritated by his question even if for just a little second Jerry looked hot, she quickly wiped the thought away
Jerry sits close to her, while staring at her, he added
" but seriously, what if your feelings towards me isn't hate but love, you just don't know it..... yet"
Kiara looks at him and laughs " me love you, of all the people in this world, seriously, like really......
" I'm I that bad?" Jerry asked
" your my worst nightmare.......... and please i could use a good wine "
her words strikes Jerry
" your worst?....... I'll be right back " Jerry stands and leaves,
Kiara smiles and keeps focusing on the files in front of her, Jerry returns with a bottle of Red wine with two glasses,
he drops the glasses, pops the cap of the wine
" wowh" Kiara exclaimed,
Jerry smiled as he hands her a glass " i hope this tastes good"
Kiara takes a big sip of the wine, before saying
" it does, it's quite good " Jerry gives her an expectant look,
she sighs
" fine, what?" kiara pouts
he puts his glass on the table " Still trying to figure out why you said I'm your worst nightmare"
"I'm being sincere, you never pass out informations to me on time, infact you don't...."
" I forgot,....." Kiara gave him a side look
" sincerely, i forgot" he said
" you forgot, ohk?.... last two years when I first joined, you were supposed to put me through my Job and you didn't...... even when I came to you ..... you kept giving me different excuses.......you humiliated me in front of a client and the whole company....... that's when you got your free ticket to my blacklist" she said and sipped her wine,
Jerry couldn't say a word, he poured all his wine into mouth and took another from the bottle
" I thought as much" Kiara said after Jerry became so speechless
" no... no... I'm getting ready to respond" he drinks the second Glass, drops the glass and clears his throat, Kiara chuckles
" Almighty Kiara Francis, " Kiara chuckles
" hold on,,, I've got More," Jerry clears his throat again
" I Jeremiah Waters,, is deeply sorry for being such an asshole" Kiara laughs and Jerry slightly laughs also and looks straight into her eyes
" For the first time I made you laugh". Jerry said sounding soft
" I'm drinking to that" kiara finishes her drink , picks up the bottle
" woah ...... we finished it " kiara looks at Jerry with a grin on her face
" Ano....."Kiara didn't let him finish
" yes pls" Jerry chuckles and he goes and gets another bottle
" you might want to brace yourself with this particular one" he said holding the bottle to the air
" she's a strong baby", he said and opens it, he grabs the bottle again, he refills his glass and hers
Kiara felt happy, for the first time, the day they spend together was going great, she drinks all the wine poured in her glass,
Jerry stared at her surprised
" I'm a very strong woman,"
" I can see that.......ok? " Jerry replied
" what do you say, let's get serious about work, "Kiara said
" ya that, " Jerry carried the file, the screen of Kiara's phone came on, he saw the time .
" It's already 10" he looks at Kiara she was still drinking
" ok that's enough, " he collected the glass from her
" hey! " Kiara was already tipsy , she could hardly keep her eyes open
" it's late Kiara, let me drop you off, where do you stay" Jerry sounded concerned
" nonsense, I'll drive myself thank you very much" kiara says while standing up, Jerry stood up as well.
" I insist, lets get you home, "
" I don't need your damn chivalry, I'll walk back on my own!" Kiara huffed
Jerry chuckled, his laughter was beautiful, kiara hated herself for having that thought
As she tries moving, she staggered back and almost fell but luckily Jerry caught her
Jerry looked at her concerned, she also Looks at him
" Fine, just for today ......John" kiara said
" What? ....... who's John....." Jerry was confused,
Kiara chuckles softly places her lips on Jerry's and kissed him
Jerry couldn't move, he didn't understand what was happening, she then fell asleep, he holds her well and takes her to his room, lays her on the bed , he still couldn't get what happened out of his head, he stares at her with passion and laughed softly, she was so beautiful, so innocent looking
She had a cute face, she was beautiful, she wasn't ugly, she wasn't plain, she wasn't ugly either, she was simply perfect, Jerry immediately stopped himself From the thought and leaves the room
