Rida's POV

Back to square one.The pain, betrayal and the constant yawning for affection.I'm tired believe me.... I tried to run but you can't undo the fate.

The door slang open and the devil himself emerged, hand in hand with my very source of pain ...... Rukea.

"You've got some nerves trying to escape Rida! You could've....." he paced back and forth."Don't ever do that again".Is this really my father? Ever since auntie Rukea married him... he's changed.

"Why do you care?", I managed to air it out amides the sobs I was holding."You say you care but why did you marry her despite my objections?".He stared at me as though I've grown to horns."I'm a freaking adult and I don't have to seek consent from my daughter!"He backed."Besides I love her".He turned around and glance at her with the same affection he had for my mother.

Turning my head to face the window was much better than looking at this totally disgraceful couple."I've arranged it.... and you can't stop it from happening." He stated.The room became silent like.He was waiting for it to sink to my skull."I'm not marrying anyone!" I gritted my teeth."kill me if you want but I'm not marrying anyone that I've never met!".

He punched the wall next to my table.Tilting my head forcebly to look at him,"I'm your father and I know what's best for you.... you will marry into Wayan's clan in a month.So the sooner you except it the better.!"

"Or else what father?" Without tearing my graze from him."I'll be banished from Igru village or you'd lock me up forever.?"

The edges of my jaw line were beginning to ache but I'm not backing down from this fight."Don't play with fire little one lest you get burnt"

"I'm not scared of a little fire dad" Smirking at him."Where's the fun it without pain and the lessons?"

He pushed my faced away forcing my hand to fall over the bed making me loose my balance."You are so stubborn girl! I'm doing this for your sake!" He was screaming at me."I didn't ask you to do it for me!"

"You are impossible!" Dad walked out in anger but the Beast herself remained behind.She had that smug on her face and it annoyed the hell out of me.

"What are you smiling about you evil witch?" She casually walked around my bed and sat beside me.Placing he hand over my shoulder."You will never win with that attitude my sweet innocent niece!" She caressed my cheeks like I'm a twelve year old."Don't touch me Rukea!" Slapping her hand away."Ooooooh feisty",She was smiling and it pissed me off.

Her face twisted in a weird way.Her eyes bulged out and her veins were visible.She moved closer to me with her elongated nails penetrating my skin.Now I'm scared."Listen you ungrateful brat!Get married and stop causing trouble....If you don't," she smiled.A wide sinister smile."I won't mind bathing in your blood".

She stood up and walked towards the door.Halfway there, she turned back and looked at me...her face was back to normal but I couldn't shake the fear she has instinct in me."Think it clearly child." She smiled at me at closed the door.

My body run cold.What did I just witnessed?

Kael POV

Who's that girl? why's she scared? who's she running from?... So many questions but I've got zero answers to them.

She's tan in complexion,big brown doe eyes with black curly hair,her lips were dry but a mixture of brown and pink .What a weird combination?

Who's she?. Looking at her squishy that I snatched, I couldn't help but sniff it.It smells so freaking nice, like a newly rain soil with little bits of lavender in it.I smiled."Ooh my ooh my! You interest me tan girl!"

"Not happening!" Daniel walked into my office likes it's his bathroom."Do you forget I'm your Alpha sometimes?".I hid the dollie.

"Not happening".

"Whatever are you taking about?"

"Your silly little plan"

"What plan?"

I remained oblivion to what he's saying.I'm sure by now he must've figure out what I'm trying to conspire.He leaned forward." Kael I was there, so don't play mind games with me."

" what's the harm in trying man?"Now I'm really frustrated with him.

" She's freaking human dude! Are you blind?"

" I'm perfectly fine Daniel, thanks for airing that part out."He sighed in frustration." Look man, it's not like I don't want you to get your mate but don't use a human to satisfy you s****l desires"

Something inside of me snapped and I grabbed his collar pulling him inches from my gad damn face. "I'll never sleep with a punny human! I'm an Alpha of Crimson pack and I can't be mated to a human!" I was so pissed and the idea of me being mated to a human, completely different race to being with.

"Okay.. okay..." he grabbed my wrist pulling himself away from my grip."If that's clear then stop thinking about her"

"I'm not!" I snapped back at him. "Why-why are you even doing here?"

"Oh! I almost forgot.... Alpha Jason from_"

"Dark moon" He looked at me confused. "Right.... he's here"

"I'll there in a minute"

My office was engulfed in silence like the way it's normally been. I couldn't help but laugh at Daniel 's words, "Satisfy my s****l desires!". With a human? Never! Maybe in another world.

The moment I stepped foot on the meeting room, our eyes locked and I bit back the urge to rip his heart out. "Kael old friend!" He smiled at me like we're high school buddies. "Jason I'm not in the mood for your pitty little games.... I've got more important things to deal with that you annoying s**t outta me.!"

I managed to sit as far away as possible from him. He smirked and rised his hands in surrender. "Alpha kael we called this meeting for the union of Crimson and Dark moon pack "My eyes narrowed to the person speaking. He's an elder and I respect that but who gave him the authority to decide for my pack?

" Richard you are begging to forget who's in charge ", speaking in a lower menice voice." With who's authority did you call for this meeting? "

" My apologies Alpha but I've been working with your father for sixty years and that's how it normally works "

Banging my hand on the table. Everyone looked startled expect Jason who had that annoying smug on his face." I don't give a damn about your ancestry with my father! He's gone and I'm the one sitting on the thrown"

" With all due respect Alpha, the decision has been made and the majority wants it that way. You don't rule this pack by yourself... that's why you've got us! "

I snapped and grabbed his collar." Say that again to my face! ". Daniel stood up and grabbed my wrist." Man it's not worth it... let's talk about this. ". Pushing him back to the chair and storming out.

Daniel was right behind me, like always. "Kael I don't agree with Richards' words but to some extent, it makes sense." Turning around to face him. "Did you come here to mock me?"

"Jeez!" He was rising up his hands. "Come down dude and think this through.... Both of you Lost your fathers in the latest war and if that's not enough, you are both mateless..."

"Clearly mocking me!"

I turned away from him. "Look I'm not trying to mock you but both of you can benefit from this union..."

"How?" He smiled. "Both of your packs will be stronger despite not having Luna's"

"Daneiiiiiiiiiiuiil! You can't make me do this?" He was nodding his head with a smile on his face.
