Chapter 8While Anna had been avoiding Troy over the weekend before her surgery, Scarlet and Roger had been at the hospital themselves. Scarlet had been throwing up and sicker than she’d ever been in her life, and it was going on a week. She hated going to doctors if she didn’t need to, but Saturday had pushed her over the edge, when she woke up early in the morning, throwing up all over the bedroom.
Roger had rushed her to the hospital, tired of seeing her throw up everything, worried she may not be keeping enough food down to be healthy. The hospital ran tests, and as they waited in the room the nurse had left them in, Roger gently rubbing Scarlet’s back as a wave of nausea washed over her again.
