Chapter 13While Scarlet was in the hospital, recovering from the car crash and subsequent miscarriage, the rest of the group met that Friday. They had already heard of the accident through their group grapevine, and the meeting was fairly sullen.
The only bump up in energy came from the buzz around Sarah’s second date with Luke, which had gone well. They had both kept things light and casual, neither ready to jump in all the way too quickly.
