Chapter 15Sunday afternoon, while Scarlet was settling in at home with Roger, and Luke was spending yet another day with Sarah and Kelly, and a stack of Disney movies. Margarette and Mike only had six days til their wedding. Saturday was the big day, and Margarette was a ball of nerves.
“I can’t believe we’re in the final week!” Margarette exclaimed, trying to contain her excitement to the table she shared with Lucy and Anna. “Thanks for coming to lunch with me girls, I appreciate the company. It seems like I’ve lost all my other friends since being diagnosed with endo, and I’m so glad to have our group.”
“It sucks that happens, I don’t know why people are like that. I’m glad we can be there for you though, our group is a God-send.” Lucy agreed, giving Margarette’s hand a squeeze.
