Chapter 3As the bus creaked to a halt at her stop, Anna stood, and made her way off. She hated the city bus smell, but it was better than driving. She never drove anywhere unless she had to. Not only did traffic make her nervous, she was saving every dollar she could for a house. Walking and bus fares were far cheaper than gas lately, with the economy the way it was. She headed up the brick steps to the main apartment building door. She lived on the first floor, luckily, right across from the laundry room. It was a nice little place, and when she unlocked and opened the door to her little space, she smile. It was cozy, comforting, and home. At least, for now.
