"Dad"... Susan halted her steps, seeing her father waiting in the sitting room. She knew this was unavoidable. "I'm sorry Suzy. I know you've been avoiding because of what you heard. It was a hasty decision and I promise you not to ever think of such again". Mr President patted the space beside him, inviting her to sit with him. After sitting, she went into her father's arms. Yes she was not okay. When she overheard them, she felt betrayed. But she was also at fault. "I'm sorry for causing you trouble dad." If not for her childishness the other day, her parents should not have been so worried. Mr President shook his head. He never blamed her for anything. He wouldn't dare to. "So you'll be starting college next week"? Upon reminder, Susan pursed her lips. There were some things she had to do by herself, and school was her perfect shield to do it. "Yes and I've thought it through, It would be better to live alone". "No way! You'll live in the hostel for now. After you first year, I can then consider you living outside." Mrs President understood her daughter quite well. She was never one to mingle with people and had no friends. Living alone would only make matters worse. Susan shrugged. She had already guessed that her mother would react this way. It didn't matter much where she stayed anyway. It was just a bit of an inconvenience. Days flew by and suddenly it was Monday. Susan sighed seeing her mother looking so anxious and more nervous than herself. It's not like she was going to write any entrance examinations. "Are you sure you can complete the registration on your own? No I'll go with you." Mrs President was about to go get dressed but had to be pulled back by Susan. Susan shook her head. "You and I know quite well that it's impossible for you to come with me. Give it 10 minutes and we both will be in the news" Mrs President sighed. "Fine... Just make sure you take care of yourself, and call me if anything happens okay?". Although it was unnecessary to be worried as Susan's bodyguards would still be with her, but she still felt worried. This was the first time her baby girl would live away from their home and it's not like she could visit her at will, due to her status. Sometimes she felt her husband's position as a bother. In the private room of a high-end bar, three men all in business suit, sat on the couch waiting. Lionel walked in with Christian. The room was well lit and did not look like a room in a bar. Then men stood up upon seeing him. "Thanks for having us president Lionel". One of them spoke in thick British accent. They were people who he was about to sign a contract with. He sat down together with Christian, opposite the three men. waiting for them to speak. One of them cleared his throat. "Due to some difficulty on our side, we thought it was best to increase our own profit by 10%". Lionel smirked. The agreed profit percent for his company was 60% while theirs was 40% increasing by 10%, they wanted the profit to be split equally? "Impossible". His hoarse voice held no anger, just normal like he was having a smooth conversation with them. "Hey. Don't to far! The only thing you're providing is the land. We are responsible for the entire construction, registration and stocking of the business". Another man who looked American spoke in anger. He didn't understand why they had to sit here and debate with this man. Christian chuckled, which provoked him even more. He a second-in command in his company, has never been looked down upon by anyone. Lionel stood up and walked away without uttering any other word. The other two men tried to stop him but of course Christian wouldn't allow them touch him. In the car, Christian gave Lionel a confused look. "You said we would not cooperate with them initially, why then did you agree to meet them and then end the cooperation"? This was what he did not understand. "Get our people to release a news that the North America's look down on Maraba and therefore trying to make things difficult for small businesses". Lionel spoke in his usual hoarse voice. Christian raised an eyebrow in confusion. Lionel had a way of making him look stupid. "Put up the land in Siberia for sale in the underground auction market secretly." Lionel finally said there after he shut his eyes. Although not understanding anything, Christian still went on to carry out what Lionel said. He was the business emperor for a reason, any decision he makes must be on point. Susan, having completed the processes of her registration, went back to her room. She was two weeks behind calendar. Presently she was the only one in it. The others probably went for class. She on the other hand decided to resume tomorrow as she had to arrange her stuffs today. After setting up her stuff, she took a nap for an hour, before she was woken up by the sound of the door opening. She was never a deep sleeper to begin with. Being the daughter of the president made her very conscious and wary of her surroundings. "Awwn... the third roommate is here. Hello I'm Gabrielle and she's Stacy". A jolly tone sounded in the room. "I'm Susan". She also introduced briefly. She noticed that the girl Stacy seemed more of a quiet person as she only said 'hi' to her and moved to her bed. Thankfully she didn't have bitches as roommates. God knew that she'd use her status as the President's daughter to drive them out of the school. The next day, Susan got ready and left for classes. She had only 3 classes today of which two were this morning, the third class was toward 3pm. Just enough time to go out for some stuffs. On getting to the lecture hall, she found out that Gabrielle was in the same department as she. For someone who was very playful, she never thought she'd be in medical department the course didn't fit her temperament. But then again, it was none of her business. Seeing the hand waving at her, she felt it'd be impolite not to respond and it was already too late to look away. Gabrielle smiled, showing her dimples. "It's nice to have you as my coursemates, just great. We can do a lot of stuffs together". She was thrilled with the idea. She never wanted to study medicine but her parents wouldn't let her do fashion, so here she was. The morning classes passed peacefully, until unfortunately she met them. In every school there must be those set of girls who felt themselves so great. "Humph... They must have been blind to compare you with me". One who seemed like the leader spoke. It was undeniable that she was beautiful. The kind of fatal beauty that compels any man to want to protect her. Unbeknown to her, her picture was taken during class and posted in the school platform now she being compared to the school belle. She just resumed okay? She was not interested in the position. "Excuse me. I'd like to pass through". Susan spoke quietly, maintaining a polite smile. Who knew that as she passed by the school belle, she pretended like she was pushed and fell, looking rather pitiful. Susan was stunned. She swore that she never pushed her. Their shoulders just brushed lightly against each other. That shouldn't be enough to make her fall right? "I know you don't like me because we are being compared, but that doesn't mean you have to push me. I just wanted to make your acquaintance". Pitiful tears dropped from the belle's eyes as she spoke. Susan rubbed her temple. Way to go girl, trouble always seems to find its way to you.
