CHAPTER 12: Scandal

1369 Words
Lionel covered the little girl with the bed cover, to hide her exposed body part from the onlookers, then proceeded to the door. He did not bother arranging his scattered shirt. He looked like the sin he was about to commit. Tristan felt jealous and angry. A while ago, he had been mentally planning on how to ask Susan out on a date, and make her his girlfriend. He clenched his fist to suppress his anger. "Who are you and how dare you take advantage of Susan when she is drunk?" He stared at Lionel with a frightening gaze...or so he thought. "Just so you know, I've already called the police". Lionel raised an eyebrow at the boy. Who was he to the little girl? her boyfriend?. At this thought, a frown unknown to him, rested on his face. Her taste was really bad. This guy was even foolish enough to report to the police about an expected r**e on his girlfriend, this is same as ruining her image. Lucy snickered. It would be best if the police was involved. The bigger the scandal, the better. Although she didn't know who this man was, it did not matter as long as her goal was achieved. As for the man she had paid, he would refund every bit of penny she had given him. He dared to run away with her money. The man in question in fact did not run away but was just not allowed into the hotel environment. She hired a local thug and the hotel, being one of high repute, would not allow any potential danger into it's environment seeing that so many important personalities in the country often stayed there. And most certainly, they would never allow a local thug in. If he had dressed in a disguise, he probably would have been able to sneak in, but he came there looking like a ruffian and as such was stopped by the security. Susan's mind cleared a bit with all the commotion. She remembered clearly what transpired between her and Lionel. They had kissed, not just a simple kiss... She remembered how explosive it felt. She never thought that she would fall into Lucy's ploy. She l had overestimated herself, she had to admit. It's probably the superiority due to her identity as the daughter of the President. This flaw... She would not let the flaw continue to linger. The problem now was how to deal with this situation, and how to explain to her parents who she promised that she would take care of herself. Lionel glanced at her, waiting to see how she would deal with the situation. Susan thought quickly and finally made a hard decision. Adjusting her clothes, she walked to Lionel shyly and hugged him from behind like she didn't notice the crowd outside. "I'm hungry babe. Why are you delaying"... She then pretended that she just saw her people outside and blushed. "Why... Why are there so many people here"? She appeared to be normal, like she wasn't drugged and the way she acted like they were a couple, made Lionel almost believe if not that he was the other party in the couple act. He applauded her for her bravery. Not only did she harass him, she also claimed him as her man in the presence of her school mates. Lucy and Tristan stood frozen in place. They never expected things to turn out like this. Tristan especially felt hurt... His love life ended before it even started. Others felt like they had received a juicy news. Who would have thought that the school belle was so capable that she clicked such a handsome thigh. They needed no soothsayer to tell them that he was a rich man. The aura he exuded was one only a rich man could have, and not just an ordinary rich man.. a powerful one. They all came from a wealthy home, so they were able to identify a powerful man when they see one. Soon men dressed in black suit surrounded the place. "Make sure they delete any pictures or videos taken here before leaving.. also send the police men away when they come". Lionel instructed and shut the door. "I'm sorry.." Susan apologized before he could even say anything. "This would save me at least a little reputation." Her lips pursed. She was never one to care about reputation, but her mom.. the thing she was most afraid of, was seeing her mom worried. Lionel frowned. What about him? His reputation would be that of an old man eating young grass... he sighed. Leave it be.. it had already happened anyway. "I hope the effect of the drug is no longer potent. Cause I don't want a kid in heat jumping at me anymore". Susan felt her mouth twitch. "Like you did not enjoy kissing and touching this kid in heat." After the words left her mouth, her face turned red. Lionel looked her thin frame and smirked. "I had to be careful not to dislocate your bones or to get pierced by the bones". "You".. Susan was utterly speechless. This man struck her as a well reserved man, who did not speak much. Who would have expected that he was this shameless.. indeed you can't judge a book by its cover. Lionel arranged his rumpled shirt, and walked away. It did not matter to him what happened to her. And he hoped never to see her ever again. Susan stared at the receding silhouette and scoffed. Such an arrogant and unfeeling man. She sat weakly on the bed after he left. God knows how she held on to this moment. Not long after Lionel left, a knock sounded on the door. She guessed it was her bodyguard, but in order not to fall into a scheme twice, she decided to open the door herself rather than letting whoever it was come in on their own. After opening the door, she saw that it was indeed her bodyguards. "We are really sorry little Miss for our incompetence." They apologized after stepping in. Susan went ahead to take a glass of water from the bedside table, then took the antidote bought by the bodyguards. "I was the one who asked you to stay hidden and not follow me unless called, so don't expect you to feel at fault." This place was frequented by politicians and well known business men. Both the ones that were friends and enemies of her father. She didn't want to compromise her identity, hence did not allow her bodyguards to follow her unless called. When she became conscious during the commotion, she first picked up her phone which was thankfully in the bed, and sent a message her bodyguards, instructing them to buy this antidote. "You can leave now. I'll rested for a bit then take a cab back to the dorm. You can follow the cab". She said dismissively. The bodyguards were reluctant to leave their Miss in this state but they understood that her identity could not be exposed unless, it would be dangerous for her. Finally they left. Susan took a nap after they left. By the time she woke up, it was already 11 pm. Since it was Freshers party, the dorm gate would not be locked until after midnight. She tidied up herself and quickly left the hotel, she hailed a can back to the dorm. In the dorm, Gabrielle kept pacing. She felt guilty about leaving Susan on her own, knowing that she was not used to such a place. She jumped up when the door was opened from outside. Stacy also raised her head and looked at the door. "Susan I'm truly sorry about. I shouldn't have left you in the party all alone". Gabrielle bowed her head in guilt. "You're no baby sitter Gabrielle." Susan replied tiredly, making her way to the bed. She still felt so sleepy. Gabrielle gapped at her. Susan indeed...she never cared about people's opinion but, Gabrielle didn't know if she could live with this. Being called a kept woman. The school platform had already exploded with news of what happened although there were no pictures.
