The French ship tacked about at bow once more, when it got three hundred meters far. A flash lighted its side, then a second detonation burst out with a deep and very long boom. The ball didn’t get lost into the sea that time. It flew through the sails and hit the mizzen topmast. Splinters were falling everywhere, together with sails remains and thorn ropes. The crew men screamed and hid anywhere they could. “Get back to your places, bastards!”, Blackbeard barked. He took out one of the guns hanging from his leather band and fired in the air.
