We Will Meet Again

"Th-this is the cruise ship? Seriously?" Elen chirps with wide eyes looking at the luxury cruise in front of her eyes. Elen had seen a cruise ship before, but she had never been on a cruise. She never had a chance to go on vacation by cruise, let alone with her family where her father was a super busy man who very rarely took his wife and children on vacations. Elen kept on swallowing, she knew that the cruise was definitely very big and luxurious. Where the elite and the bourgeois used to spend their luxurious holidays. However, for Elen who was born as a girl from an average family, she could only hold back her envy. Actually Elen's family is quite rich, but her mother is very calculating and will not let them spend a lot of money just for a vacation. Elen walked up the steps of the ship nervously. She was carrying bags and suitcases with trembling hands. She used to feel like the coolest girl in her school, but now in the midst of this dreamlike situation, she realizes that she is just an ordinary girl who tends to be tacky. "Oh s**t, what is this place? Seriously I'm on a cruise? This isn't the Titanic is it? No, it's definitely bigger. Oh my gosh, I'm so nervous!" She thought. Elen tried to calm herself down by taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly. She realized that it would be difficult for her to survive in this place alone. Too dazzling for her, especially considering the money in her wallet which is no more than 1500 Dollars. Of course she would be in a lot of trouble. "Uncle Carl? Right, dad asked me to see Uncle Carl! He can definitely tell me what to do here! I wish I could get a VIP room!" Elen was still hoping for the best room, the only thing she hoped would help her survive the madness of the elite lifestyle. "Uncle Carl?" Elen called out to a man with a thin beard in uniform like a ship captain who was standing on the deck while chatting with the two crew members. The man turned his head after hearing Elen call him. Elen waved her hand and walked over, dragging her heavy suitcase. The people around her looked at her confused and it made her feel very homely. "You're Elen, right?" The man in uniform asked while looking intently at Elen. “Yeah, it's me Elena, Uncle! Dad said-" "Yeah, I've heard from your Dad. You're going to visit your grandma, right? Then, let me take you to your room!” Uncle Carl said matter-of-factly. It seemed he didn't have much time to talk to Elen. Although he could ask a crew member to escort Elen to her cabin. But he felt he had a responsibility to make sure his niece was in a safe place. “Okay, thank you, Uncle!” Elen smiled nervously, she didn't think that Uncle Carl still recognized her face. Even though they haven't seen each other in years. The last time was at Grandpa's funeral five years ago. “How was your school, Elen? Have you graduated from high school?” Uncle Carl asked as he walked down the ship's corridor to the passenger cabin. “I just graduated this year, but failed the university entrance exam. Dad asked me to try again next year!" Elen replied while following the footsteps of the man in front of her. "Oh, that is good! What university do you want to go to? Harvard? Colombia?” “Hahaha…haven't decided yet. But I'm not sure I can get into a big university like that. I'm not smart enough, Uncle!" She said with an awkward laugh. It seems that Elen is quite aware of the quality of her brain. "Why? You still have doubts, huh? Hahaha…you are very much like your dad, often confused when you want to make a decision. But that's okay, Elen, it's better that you do something with thinking about it. After all, there are still many opportunities for you, so you don't need to feel inferior. If you believe in yourself. You sure can! You understand?" "I-I see, Uncle Carl!" "Okay, this is your room! The ship will sail in a moment. Then, have a good rest!" Uncle Carl showed her a room in the middle of the lower ship's corridor. In the middle of the narrow passage, Elen gasped to see where she was going to stay. “H-here? I will stay in this cabin?” Elen asked not believing what she saw. The cabin was in the middle of a narrow alley, the image of a luxurious cabin immediately swept across hermind. “Hahaha…why are you so surprised? Your dad reserved this room for you. After all, there are no more empty rooms here. You don't have much choice, Elen!” Elen was speechless, she couldn't believe her parents allowed her to live in a narrow room like this, especially when this room was opened. There were only two small beds, a wardrobe and a wooden chair. The windows do not directly face the sea as expected, but face the decks of the ships that the passengers are passing. "I-I understand!" She said weak. "Okay Elen, I'm sorry, okay? You just relax here, if you need anything, just tell me! See you later?" Uncle Carl said as he walked away leaving Elen alone in silence. “I feel like crying!” Elen limply looked around the room. She knows that this room is used for economy class passengers and she is one of them. But worst of all there were two beds in this room, it gave her a bad feeling. "Oh my God! Dad is really outrageous, even though it's a cruise ship, but still I live in a room like this! It turns out that dad really wants revenge on me, you cruel old man! If grandpa was still alive, dad would have been beaten!” Elen continued to grumble. With a bad feeling, she was forced to tidy up the things she brought. 10 minutes later, Elen felt a tremor. Looks like this ship has already started sailing. The vibration is felt because this room is only three floors before the ground floor. Her troubled heart seemed to be difficult to heal. She hopes to find something interesting so she doesn't have to feel like the most unlucky person in the world. Elen walked alone through various places on this ship and her last stop was the main deck of the ship, from this place she could see the vast ocean with a bright blue color. Elen smiled at the beauty of the ocean in front of her eyes, but this beauty was incomplete if she felt alone. The expanse of the ocean in front of her eyes made her feel even more lonely. "It's so beautiful!" She muttered. Elen's brown eyes were now filled with turquoise sea water shadows. “Right, so beautiful!” Someone spoke beside her. Elen blinked in surprise and turned to the side. She was surprised to see a tall young man, brown hair with shining white skin. She wore a white tuxedo with a white bow tie. "Huh?" Elen was amazed to see the young man's face. A soft and mysterious smile made Elen barely blink. The man kept smiling, obviously Elen couldn't smile back. Even though this young man was extraordinarily handsome, he somehow looked strange. The only thing he could do was to look at this young man from head to toe. "Why are you looking at me like that? You're fascinated by me, aren't you?” The young man said confidently. Elen immediately shuddered in horror. "W-who are you?" Elen asked in a threatening tone. To be honest she felt a little strange about the man's appearance, unlike people of this era. His brown hair was neatly combed back, he was wearing a white shirt that was lined with a white coat, very formal attire for a cruise ship in broad daylight. "It's so fierce! Introducing, my name is Charly, Edward Charly Robinson but you can call me Charly.” He said introducing himself like a nobleman. He took Elen's hand and kissed it. “W-what are you doing? Let go of my hand! Besides, why did you introduce yourself? I don't want to know you!" Elen withdrew her hand roughly. But the more she dodged, the more this young man's face caught her attention. "Damn, so handsome! I can't stop staring at him!" Elen thought. She was very embarrassed to admit it and all she could do was look down in embarrassment and nervousness. Pounding... Elen felt her heart beat faster, there was a strange pounding in her chest. She felt she had been in this situation before, but she couldn't remember when and where it had happened. "Didn't you ask who I am? That's why I answered, my name is Charly, what's wrong?" This young man looked very calm and relaxed answering Elen's question and it made him look even more strange. "You're in the wrong, suddenly come and invite someone to talk!" “Hahaha…I'm sorry! I thought you were alone, so I approached!” "I'm alone!" "Then, we are the same! I also came alone to this ship. Actually it's my first time on a ship, you know!” He said while blinking his left eye. He tried to seduce Elen in a strange and tacky way like this. Elen who was getting more and more annoyed, immediately walked backwards. "I didn't ask! I don't care anyway! Don't bother me!" “Because we're on the same ship that's why I'm telling you now! There's a chance that we'll meet again, right?" "Oh yes?" Elen tried to ignore it and refocused her eyes on the ocean in front of her. "When we meet again, you will definitely ask!" This young man continued to ramble. He tried hard to familiarize himself with the cynical Elen and thought she was just a weird perverted guy. "Oh yes?" "You want to go to England too, Miss Oh yes?" the young man asked nnocently. "What are you saying?" "What?" "What did you say?" "Which one?" "Just now! What did you call me earlier?" “Miss Oh yes! So what?" "How dare you call me Oh yes! Who are you?" Elen was getting annoyed at this strange young man. She deliberately glared sinisterly with the intention that this young man immediately leave in front of her. "Because you don't want to tell me your name, so I call you with the words you often say! Hahaha… !" He said laughing. Elen was silent. For a moment, she looked at the young man with a flat gaze, her nose snorting in annoyance. She gaze was as if to say “He's damn crazy” Elen didn't want to get involved any further because she knew this would only be a waste of her energy. She did not know the young man's intention to approach her. He could be a bad guy who wanted to rob her or harass her. What is clear, Elen must be more careful and immediately leave the young man without saying a word. “Hey…wait! Where are you going?" He's shouted. "None of your business!" Elen confirmed her words. She gave him a murderous glare one last time. "Well, be careful! We will definitely meet again, Miss Oh yes!" "Tsk, damn it! Never...!" This man smiling looking at Elena who was moving away from him. "We will definitely meet again!" ***
