--- *EPISODE 1: THE ROAD HAS CHILDREN* One year after the last throne became a bench, the moss road did something new — it grew children. Not human children. Moss children. Little green people made of moss and light, who walked the road maintaining it. Kael found the first one fixing a c***k near Icefall. It was small, no face, just moss. "Who are you?" Kael asked. The moss child hummed like Myra. Then it said in Myra's voice: "We are the road's memory of you." Lyra was pregnant. She touched her belly. "Is our baby going to be moss?" Eli laughed. "No, but your baby will be first baby born on a road, not under a throne. That's new." Kael put his hand on Lyra's belly. The moss child put its moss hand there too, and glowed. The road was becoming more than road — it was becoming family. *EPISODE 2: THE FIRST BORN ON THE ROAD* Lyra's baby came during a storm on the sea road, halfway between Valor and Seaborn. No palace, no healers with gold. Just Mara the sea Mother holding water, Lira the ice Mother making cool cloths, Joren holding Lyra's hand, and Kael crying because he didn't know what to do with his hands that usually make fire. Milo made ice to keep Lyra cool. Tomas made fire to keep soup warm. The baby — a girl — was born with one hand warm, one hand cold. One eye orange, one eye white. She didn't cry. She laughed, and when she laughed, the moss road under them bloomed with flowers that had never existed — half fire, half ice. Kael held her. "What do we call you? You are not ash, not ice. You are road." Lyra, tired but smiling: "Road is not a name. Let's call her Myra. After first mother, but new Myra. Little Myra." Little Myra touched Kael's silver ring and it turned to wood — living wood. The moss children gathered around her crib — which was Joren's bench turned crib — and hummed. First child born with no throne above her. Only sky. *EPISODE 3: THE KINGS WHO WALKED* News of the world road reached the farthest empire — the Empire of Glass, where king never touches ground, lives on glass tower. Three kings — Glass King, Sand King, Star King from earlier — heard that thrones are benches now. They laughed, then got scared, then got curious. They left their thrones — first time in 40 years their feet touched ground — and walked the moss road barefoot to meet Kael. Glass King said: "My tower is cold. No one visits because stairs are too high." Kael said: "Break your tower and make benches." Sand King said: "My desert eats my city. No road stays." Milo said: "Ice road can stay. I will help." Star King said: "My people think I am a god because I sit high. If I sit low, they will see I am just man." Joren, former prince, said: "I thought that too. It's better to be just man. Gods are lonely. Men have soup together." The three kings took off their crowns and put them on Little Myra's crib as toys. She chewed on Glass King's crown. They walked home not as kings, but as gardeners, to break their own thrones. *EPISODE 4: THE MOTHER WHO DIDN'T WANT TO SLEEP* Not all Mothers wanted to become trees. One Mother under the white desert — The Wandering Mother — liked walking. She had legs made of wind and never slept. She walked around the world, checking on her sisters. She met Kael's group and said: "I don't want to be tree. I want to walk like you." Kael said: "Then walk." So she did. She became the first Mother to walk the road openly, as tall as mountain, but gentle. Children rode on her shoulders. She carried Little Myra on her head, and Little Myra giggled and made flowers grow in her wind hair. Other Mothers saw her and thought: maybe we don't have to sleep. Maybe we can walk too. Grandmother Stone stood up — mountain standing — and took one step. The whole continent felt it, but as a hug, not quake. *EPISODE 5: THE SCHOOL THAT WALKS* With Mothers walking, New Valor school could not stay in one place. So they made it walk too — a moving school on the backs of walking Mothers. Tomas's bread oven on Lira's back. Milo's ice house on Mara's back. Forge toys on Tinka's back. They called it The Walking School. It visited every city that the moss road touched, staying one month, teaching, then walking on. Joren was head teacher of bench-making. He taught every city to make low benches for two. Eli was teacher of listening — she taught how to hear if a Mother is crying under your city. Kael and Lyra and Little Myra walked with it, not as leaders, but as family who lives in walking school bus. One child from Glass Empire asked: "Where is your capital?" Little Myra, now 2, answered before Kael: "Here. Where feet are." *EPISODE 6: THE BOY WHO MADE A NEW THRONE* A boy in Sand Empire, 14, named Var — named after Varric by his grandfather who loved old king — decided he wanted a throne again. "I want to be high! I want to look down!" he said, and he built a throne from sand, high as house. He sat on it and shouted orders. No one listened. Sand throne melted in wind. He built from glass. It cut him. He built from iron. Too heavy, sank. He came crying to Kael: "Why won't my throne stay?" Kael sat with him on Joren's bench. "Because thrones need people looking up," Kael said. "But we taught people to look forward, at road. No one looks up anymore." Var asked: "Then what can I build high that stays?" Milo said: "Build a watchtower for spotting lost children. High, but with ladder for anyone." Var built a watchtower, not throne. He sat high, but to look for lonely kids, not to be looked at. His tower stayed. Because it was useful, not proud. *EPISODE 7: LITTLE MYRA'S FIRST FIRE* Little Myra, age 3, made her first fire — but not orange or blue or ice. Her fire was rainbow, like moss road. She touched the double tree Myra-Kor and it bloomed with rainbow leaves. All Mothers — walking and tree — stopped and looked. New kind of fire never seen. Eli whispered: "She is not ash child. She is road child. First of new kind." Kael was scared. "Will she be hunted like I was?" Lyra held Little Myra: "No. Because now when a child burns rainbow, 300 children and 10 walking Mothers will stand around her and say 'beautiful'." Little Myra set the sky on rainbow for one hour. Every city on road saw it. In Glass Empire, a mother who had hidden her rainbow child for years saw it and finally took her child outside. *EPISODE 8: THE ROAD THAT REMEMBERS* The moss road started remembering everything that happened on it — every soup shared, every bench made, every child born. If you walked barefoot, you could feel memories. Kael walked one night and felt his own 10-year-old self, tied to post, called cursed. He cried. Lyra felt her first day holding sword, scared. Joren felt the day he put down crown. The road kept memories so no one would forget how hard it was to break thrones, and how easy it is to build them again if you forget. Kael put a sign at start of road: *REMEMBER — ROAD IS MADE BY FEET, NOT CROWNS. IF YOU FORGET, WALK BAREFOOT.* *EPISODE 9: THE LAST CAGE* There was one last cage in world — in deepest part of Empire of Glass, where Glass King had forgotten — a dungeon with one ash child from 20 years ago, still there, because no one remembered to open. Moss road found it. Moss children opened it. The child inside was now 25, had lived in cage whole life, fire burned out from no use. Kael, Lyra, Joren, Little Myra went. The man in cage did not know how to walk. His legs were weak. Kael did not say "you are free". He sat inside cage with him. "I was in cage too," Kael said. "Called cursed. Cage is not bars. Cage is idea that you are cursed. We will sit here until you believe you are not." They sat three days. Lyra brought soup into cage. Little Myra made rainbow flowers in cage. On third day, man stood, walked out of cage — not because bars opened (they were open day one), but because he believed. He became teacher of cages — he walks world road looking for forgotten cages. *EPISODE 10: THE BENCH FOR MYRA AND KOR* Joren built a special bench — big enough for two trees. He placed it between Myra and Kor trunks, which had grown together but still two. He carved: *FOR TWO WHO LEARNED TO BE WARM TOGETHER.* When he put it there, the double tree rustled and dropped two leaves — one gold, one root-brown — onto bench. Kael and Lyra sat there with Little Myra between them. Little Myra asked: "Are Myra and Kor dead?" Kael said: "No. Trees are not dead. They are sleeping awake. They watch us on bench and are happy they are not lonely." Little Myra put her rainbow hand on both trunks. Both trunks glowed. *EPISODE 11: THE WORLD WITHOUT MAP* Root map now had no black lights — all gold. But then gold lights started fading — not black, just fading, because Mothers were walking, not sleeping under cities. Eli said: "Map is useless now. No lights to chase." Kael smiled and broke the map — his silver ring turned to seeds. He threw seeds into wind. Where seeds landed, new moss road grew, but not where old map said — where children needed it. "World doesn't need map of Mothers anymore," Kael said. "World needs map of hungry children. Road will find them." And it did. New road grew to a continent no one knew existed, where children had wings but were told not to fly. Little Myra clapped. *EPISODE 12: THE ROAD GOES ON* Kael is old now in this episode — 40, beard gray, Little Myra 18, teacher herself, rainbow fire. Lyra's hair gray, Joren's bench shop has 100 benches, Eli is Mother herself — chose to become walking Mother of listening, tall and kind. Kael sits on first bench he and Joren made, low, for two, with Lyra. He looks at road that now has no end — it goes around world twice, to winged children continent, to star continent. A new boy, 7, with black spark hands like first Kael, walks up, scared: "Am I cursed?" Kael, old, makes space on bench. "No. You are early. Come sit. Road is long. We have soup. You want to learn to make bench or to make flower or to make slide?" Boy sits. Little Myra — now grown, rainbow — walks by with her own baby, born on road, with wings of moss. She says: "Dad, we found new Mother beyond winged continent. She is made of stories. She eats stories that are forgotten." Kael stands, slow, old knees, but eyes same orange-blue. "Then let's go tell her a story she hasn't heard," he says. "Story about a boy who broke a throne and found a road." Lyra takes his hand. Joren takes other hand. Eli, Tomas, Milo, Asha, all Mothers walking, 500 children, moss children, take hands. They walk. Road goes on. No final throne. No final ending. Because road stories don't end. They just keep walking. *END OF SEASON 7 — END OF ROAD SAGA —
