Yna didn't know why her heart suddenly beats fast she thinks she's nervous so she instantly just dismissed what she felt.

" Are you serious? You'll help me? " Yna asked him.

" Uhmm! Yes cause you need help " he said sarcastically.

" Are you sure? Cause if you didn't know i'll tell you that we are a total stranger " Yna frustratedly said to him.

" So that's the case then allow me to introduce myself " he stop and clear his throat. " The names Caleb Samaniego and Im an ex military " he said.

Yna frowned and thought Wow he's introduction is so- so complete that my mind will not absorb.

" Ohh! Too much information tss. I'm Karina Ongpauco nice meeting you " Yna sarcastically said and rolled her eyes to him.

" Do you want me to help you or not? " he said.

I need help but we don't know each other that much to trust, it might have been like before that I was so confident and carried away by my emotions that I almost perished it's hard to trust again especially since I don't know him very well yet. I needed help so I just take the risk to survive.

" I accept your offer to help me " I said and he nodded.

" Good so let's rest I know your tired to sleep well " He said and go to his room.

THE NEXT DAY

Yna woke up early so she do her daily routines and she cook their breakfast after cooking, the man arrived just in time.

" Oww, your awake! Sorry nagluto na ako ng breakfast natin " I said to him.

" No problem " he simply said.

Kaya naman ay sabay na silang nag umagahan ng binata. Medyo na awkwardan siya dahil sa convo nila kahapon.

In the middle of their meal they heard gunshots not far from where they were so Caleb became alert and pulled out a gun. He gave me a gun but I'm not familiar about guns because I'm not a police officer so probably I don't know how to use them.

" I don't know how to use this " I said in a panicked voice.

" Basta ikasa mo tapos itutok mo sa kalaban at pihitin mo yung gatilyo " sabi niya habang ikinakasa yung hawak niyang baril.

Anak naman ng tokwa hindi ko alam kung paano ito gamitin, I tried to pull the slide basta yung hinihila nakaring ng mahinang tunog galing sa baril at ready na siguro ito.

" Stay here, mag inhat ka at maging alerto okay " sabi niya sabay alis.

Naiwan ako dito sa dining room, Nagtago na lang ako sa olalim ng lamesa at hinarang ang mga upuan.

I heard gunshots maybe it was Caleb who was exchanging gunshots with his opponents, in a few moments I heard footsteps approaching me maybe they were only two or three of them, I'm not so sure about it.

" You go search to the room " unknown man said.

The man went to the room and the other man stay roaming in the kitchen, so I took the chance and I came out of my hiding place but I didn't mean to touch a chair so it create a sound. The armed man looked in my direction so I panicked .

I immediately pointed the gun and pulled the trigger bigla itong natumba sa sahig kaya I took the opportunity at tumakbo ako palabas upang hanapin si Caleb ngunit bago ako makalabas ay isang putok ng baril ang umalingawngaw nanghina ang mga binti ko at bigla na lamang akong natumba.

The last person I saw was Caleb and the man who shoot me, Caleb rush to my direction and everything went black.

When I woke up all I can see in my surroundings are all white, I know that this isn't heaven that's lame though. I see Caleb kakapasok lang nito at may dalang pagkain.

" Finally your awake, thanks God " he said in relief. Is he overacting?

" Ano bang nangyari? At Gaano ako katagal na tulog? " tanong ko sa kanya.

" Thirty six hours you'd been sleeping, You were shot in the leg and your head was banged " he answered.

What? 2 and a half days grabe ang tagal ko naman nakatulog, sa binti pala ako na tamaan kaya pala natumba ako at na untog tss.

" The Doctor said you exhaust yourself so you need a full rest " he said

" Okay! Kailan ako makakalabas? " tanong ko rito.

" May be tomorrow " he said.

" Caleb can you teach me a self defense? " i suddenly asked.

I need to know some self defense, paano nalang kung hindi dumating si Caleb ? Edi patay na ako, edi tuwang tuwa ang demonyong Drew na yun dahil wala ng witness.

" Yeah sure Of course I would have told you that but you just got ahead of me " he said. " Eat first and rest to regain your strength " he added.

Though masyado siyang cold pero maalaga naman he even fed me that anyone who saw me would think I was shot in the arm.

Natapos na noya akong pakain at pinainom na rin niya ako ng tubig at gamot. Lumabas siya dahil may kakausapin lang daw siya saglit , I didn't realize that I had fallen asleep, maybe because of the fatigue and stress of the events in my life that I never thought I would experience.

I woke up and saw Drew's eyes glaring at me. Even if I wanted to get up, I couldn't because my hands and feet were tied. I seemed to be dumbfounded when I saw Drew approaching me.

I noticed he was holding a gun in his right hand He slowly approached me and pointed his gun at my cheek and said.

" YOU CAN ESCAPE BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE TO ME FOR TOO LONG, HAHHAHA " he said and laugh like a mad demon and he harshly rubbed the gun to me.

" Goodbye Yna " he said and pulled the trigger

BANG.

She woke up crying and saw Caleb who with a worried face and hugged me and say comforting words to me.

" Hush baby! It's just a dream " he said to mine with mixed tenderness.

" He won’t let me live Caleb I know and I can feel it " I dreaded remarks to him while trembling and crying.

" Hush now baby, Don't worry I'll take care of you I won't let you perish. I promise " he said while kissing my forehead And he tightened his hug on me even more.
