CHAPTER 73
NOVA'S POV
It is way past midnight when Cassian and I walk back into the room. He pulls me to himself without a word, and I feel myself melt against his touch. I barely take a dozen breaths before I fall asleep.
The next morning, my phone beeps, making me get up immediately. It is a text from Jason. I frown.
We aren't exactly friends yet. So why is he texting me instead of Cassian?
I look over at Cassian as he walks into the bathroom. If Jason texts me, then it has to be something that he doesn't want Cassian knowing.
‘Is Cassian there with you?’ the text reads. My fingers immediately fly across the screen as I tell him no.
