What the hell is going on?

Alice entered her room and decided to shower. Her father spoke to her mother about that Marcus guy. Without alice knowing. “Theresa, he’s here for her. He is here. We must leave at once. I knew we couldn’t keep this on the low for long. I knew we were playing with fire. We need to leave tonight” alice father implored. Alices mother got worried. “Yes my love. Let’s leave, let’s leave everything behind. Our daughter deserves a normal life. I’m just afraid of him following her, we know how strong the pull is.” Theresa hugged him. Both parents were worried. “How could we let this happened, we thought of everything! We made sure Alice wouldn’t know or get involved with the supernatural world!.” Joe angrily stated while hugging his wife.

Alice got out of the shower to see her suitcase on top of her bed. “Okay” she thought. Her mother later came with Alice’s passport and other important documents. Alice surprised asked her mother “what’s this? What’s going on? Why is there a suit case on my bed?”. “We will explain later, we must leave now. Everything will Be okay. Just get ready we leaving tonight” her mother responded while taking off. Alice saw that her mother was terrified. She quickly followed her mother. When they got to the living room, Alice saw that her father had a suitcase too. “Why are we leaving? Where are we going? What happened father? I’m an adult now. You need to tell me what’s happening. I’m not a little girl anymore. Why are we leaving our things behind?” Alice questioned her father. It was late. What was the hurry, Alice thought. “I don’t have time to explain, just know that this decision is for your own safety. We will leave as soon as your mother has gathered all the important documents we need” Joe desperately running his hand through hair said. Alice felt hopeless and sad. The thought of never seeing him again. Him. Instead of thinking about James, she thought about Marcus. She knew she couldn’t stay behind. She knew she had to follow her parents. Her mother also had one suitcase in had. Alice was hoping to receive a call from Marcus to let him know what was going on. “You will leave your phone behind Alice. Marcus on the other hand.. He let the phone ring until voicemail answered twice. Maybe she doesn’t answer unknown calls, he thought. He was pulling into his friend Thomas place. “Hey buddy” Thomas opened the door gesturing for him to come inside. Marcus walked in and sat on the couch. “What’s wrong” Thomas asked taking in the stressed and discomfort face Marcus had. Marcus stayed silenced, thinking if he should tell his best friend about Alice. Marcus knew his father had everyone under his control. He couldn’t afford to bring any type of danger to Alice. “Ha ha” he thought. More danger than me, he sarcastically thought. Thomas felt uneasy seeing his friend. It was noticeable that Marcus was haven’t an internal battle. “That’s odd. Marcus never shows any type of emotions, this must be something big.” Thomas thought. Marcus got up from the couch and started pacing in the living room. “Thomas, my dear friend and brother, I don’t know what to do. I don’t know if it’s safe to tell you.” Marcus told his friend. He approached one and asked what happened. “I heard an explosion and suddenly the house caught fire.
