Theresa starred at her daughter for a long time. She saw Alice’s blushing. “Alice, do you feel like you love him?”. “Yes. As strange as that sounds, I feel that I love him more than my own life. More than I have ever loved James. I would give up anything to be with him.” Tears rolled down from Alice face, admitting this out loud made her feel guilty. She knew James didn’t deserved this. “Oh Alice. We need to speak to your father right away honey.” Her mother replied. Theresa got a small phone and dialed. “You need to come home asap! Like as soon as you hang up you need to drive home. It’s important, it involves our daughter” Theresa informed Joe. Joe told James they had to go talk to Alice. As soon as the got home. They took in Alice and Theresa, they both are embraced in a huge. Both of them crying. Immediately Joe became alerted. He sniffed to see if another scent was involved. “Dear, what happened. Alice what’s wrong?” Joe asked both of them. James stopped by the door, unsure what to do. He wanted to go to Alice but he still was hurt. He knew he was in no place to feel this way since he has been keeping secrets from her. He’s found his mate and he hasn’t told her. “Joe, you need to listen to Alice. Please have an open mind. Oh honey” Theresa sobbed. “Dad I think I’m in love with Marcus. I know I’ve only known him for two days but I feel that I can’t be without him. The love I had for James is not the same anymore, I see James as the brother I’ve never had. A protector. As for Marcus, I feel like he’s the air I breathe. I know it sounds crazy but this is what I feel. I feel like I’m having trouble breathing not knowing about him.” Alice cried. James stood unmoved. He felt anger and jealousy. How could this had happened? He was suppose to marry her. He would have become the alphas of alphas. Now what? James thought. “Theresa do you know what this means?” Joe asked. “Yes, Alice has found her mate” Theresa stated. Alice was confused, what do they mean by mate. “Can someone explain to me what you mean?” Alice asked.

“Alice, now is your turn to have an opened mind. This goes against all the things we’ve taught you. You’re upbringing will no longer make sense. Just know that we did all this to protect you.” A defeated joe said. James was angry and his blood was boiling. He walked towards Alice and grabbed her by both sides. “How could you? After all these years, how could you forget all of that! I hate you. I want to make you feel how you’re making me feel” James growled. Alice had never since James like this, she felt scared, James eyes got bright and brighter. Never had she seen this before. Alice could hear bones breaking. “What is happening” Alice whispered.

Back to Marcus.

Marcus felt a strange feeling of anguish. “Thomas, I think Alice is in danger. I can feel something is not right. I think she’s scared.” Marcus was unsure, how could he know this?. “Concentrate, siren her. Use your mind. Call her, ask her where she is. If she is truly you fated mate, she will hear you” Thomas told him. “Alice, can you hear me?” Marcus doubted himself. “Oh my goodness. Marcus?” Alice answered. “Where are you Alice? Tell me if you’re okay? What’s going on? Are you in danger?” Desperation in his voice. “James just turned into a wolf. My father did the same thing. James was about to attack me when my father lounged at him in wolf form as well. I’m terrified.”Alice cried. “Tell me where you at. I’m coming for you” Marcus insisted. “I don’t know. I just know I’m in Calixto, California” Alice answered. “I’m coming to get you. Stay safe.” Determination in Marcus voice. “Thomas, I know where she is. Please advise my father that I had to leave dude to business.” Marcus getting ready to leave. “Be safe, you won’t be able to fool your father anymore. Alice is in danger.” Thomas replied.

Marcus got the soonest flight. He knew that he had to go to her. It was all very strange. How can this be? How can he feel like he’s known her all his life. The only thought in his mind was Alice.
