CHAPTER 19 Okay, so Delaney had expected Connor’s place to be gorgeous, but she hadn’t expected this gorgeous. The historic low-country mansion sat back on a grassy rise, the bright green lawn surrounding it golf course short. Massive pecan trees rose up like pillars on either side of the driveway, and though it was barely dusk, fireflies flashed in the shadows. As Delaney climbed out of her car, three drifted past, blinking.
