Six months later…
The penguins were stupid cute. It was the only way Delaney could describe them. They looked like tiny, officious butlers waddling around in tuxedos. Their expressions were so…put out.
“I think I’ve seen Gage glare at me like that,” Connor whispered as they watched the twins watch the penguins. The air was cool and the sun was high, making the entire rocky beach seem crisp and clear, verging on technicolor. The Galapagos Islands were everything the online reviews had promised. Probably more. “Total stink-eye,” he added, smiling.
Delaney covered her mouth with both hands, trying to muffle her giggles. She needn’t have bothered. The twins were deeply absorbed with their penguin watching. A bomb probably wouldn’t have deterred them.
