COME BACK TO ME –CHAPTER 58
Bruno happily welcomed his owner, slowly wagging his tail as he walked towards the front door. He was not as feisty or active as he used to but he still gets and greets Alden when the latter comes home.
“How’s nap time? Did any birds come to see you?” Alden said as he deposited his keys on the bowl by the hallway cabinet. Crouching down, he laughed softly as he petted Bruno’s head.
Alden stood up and headed for the kitchen. He checked his refrigerator for any beer left from his weekend and found none. He sighed. He usually did not drink but after that meeting with his high school friends over the reunion plan, he stopped by a grocery store to buy a case of it.
He opted to drink a bottle of water instead and went to sit by his living room. “You hungry yet?
