Zian was beyond cloud nice as he processed what Alden said to him. If he was told he was blinded by the apologies coming from the person he likes, Zian would just smile to himself silly. His heart was racing and his pulse was beating hard and fast, relentless.
He was thankful that the sun was setting or Alden would have seen his flushed cheeks. His ears were hot.
Alden apologized and asked to be friends again.
All those years of wondering why Alden stopped talking to him finally was answered. Now he knew what his friend did for him and that added to the gratefulness and joy he felt at that moment. The sun set with a smile as if it was waving Zian a goodbye for a beautiful morning he next day.
