Chase
I was pacing the hospital floor waiting on the doctor to come out and tell me what was going on. I got kicked out of the room for being too antsy. How could I not be? The doctors were talking about the possibility of her miscarrying and that wasn’t the worst-case scenario. I don’t understand, she was fine one minute and bleeding the next.
“Mr. Snyder.” The doctor called out.
“Yes, how is she? The baby?”
“They’re both fine, but that won’t be the case at the rate she’s going. She’s malnourished, dehydrated and from the look of it, isn’t getting enough sleep.”
“She’s been working a lot lately. Can I have a list of what she should eat and how much?”
“Yes, I’ll have the nurse give it to you. Your wife is currently sleeping, let her rest and you can take her home tomorrow.”
