We returned home the day after they came back from the visit. It looked like my idea for the two of them to drive there worked. What was supposed to be a one-and-a-half-day trip turned into a full two days. Both came back as if they came back from vacation instead of seeing one of the closest people to them who damn near killed her. Unlike Kay, I couldn't easily forgive Carrie Ann for almost taking my wife from me on more than one occasion.
There was a shift after Kay and Collin returned from seeing Carrie Ann. I’m not sure if it was what was said or something entirely different, but they seem to have gotten closer. They both seem to be in better spirit, more in tune in some way. It could be said that they got what they needed from that visit. I just hope it's enough for neither
