His bloody red eyes are focused on me. I can hear his shallow and rugged breathing. I gulped and took a step back.
“What are we going to do?” I asked Daciana.
“I… I don’t know… Run?” she answered uncertainly.
Before I could even think about it, the Alpha already lunged himself into me! He looked so determined to hurt me.
I quickly moved, driven by my instinct, I used my Lycan speed to dodge his attack then went behind him and smashed his head down to the floor.
“Rieka!” Daciana screamed.
“Are you trying to kill him?!” she accused when I lifted the Alpha’s face up to check on him.
He is now unconscious but I winced when I saw the thick crimson blood seeping out of the broken skin on his forehead. I must have hit him too hard. Guilt quickly crept within me.
