Owen Jake should be here at this hour. I keep on watching my wrist watch as the long arrow of the clock ticks at two o’clock on the afternoon. My friend didn’t come, so I grabbed my things and went out of the place we planned to meet. “f**k it,” I cursed and dialed his number for the nth time. What the hell is he doing? Even if he’s angry at me, I know he can’t ditch me. He never does, unless it’s an emergency. “Hello…” a woman’s voice answered the call. I hold my breath. So he’s f*****g a woman, huh? Really? In the middle of a hot sunny afternoon? “Hello?” the woman sounded irritated, “are you there? Who is this?” “Where’s Jake?” I asked. I heard a sigh on the other line. “He’s on the bathroom. What do you want to tell him? I’ll send the message.” I ended the call right away
