Chapter 7Morgan felt something soft tickling her nose. She was going to brush it away but her arm was encased in bandages and throbbing with pain. Last night’s events came back to her in a flash. She slowly opened her eyes to see what the cause of the itch was and realized her face was buried in the snowy white skin of Helena Kelly’s neck and some of that beautiful black hair had fallen on her face. She found herself breathing in the scent of lavender, results of the once a week baths she arranged for the English doctor. She’d caught the scent on the woman before in passing but this time around the intoxicating perfume made her feel blissfully dizzy—at least it was that, or the blood loss from the wound to her arm.
