Chapter 8Days passed and finally Morgan was once again behind the wheel of the Persephone. There was nothing she loved more than the wind blowing through her air, the sun full on her face. She watched with amusement as the German showed Helena how to properly fire a pistol which, after the events with the pirates, everyone figured was a good idea in the event there was a “next time.” She was rather good, Morgan had to admit, and she certainly couldn’t deny the fact Helena, wearing some borrowed breeches and a loose tunic, looked absolutely stunning. Once their target practice was done the doctor approached the wheel and tapped Morgan’s wrist. “Come you, time for those stitches to be removed.” Morgan shrugged. “It can wait a couple more hours. I just want to get us around these shoals.”
