CHAPTER 1

Gina's POV: “Hmmmm…” my eyes closed as Jayden's hands trailed off on my skin. I stared at him with expectation in my eyes. “Hmmm…” A moan escaped my mouth as he pulled out finally and covered his nakedness. I frowned slightly and felt strangely empty without him inside me. “When do you plan to mark me?” My heart began to pound slowly as he turned his back to me. “Dream on. I was never going to!” His cold voice pierced my heart and I felt my heart in my throat. “But… but… bu… I am your mate and… future Luna!” my eyes gradually became misty and I felt my eyes sting with tears. Pain and anger began to spread all over my body. I stood up from the bed and stared at him with incredulity. “Hahaha” His wicked laughter made my body shook. “A weak and wolfless i***t like you can ever be my Luna? I don't have a Luna like you” my mouth opened and my body dropped back on the bed. “This pack needs a better Luna. You are only useless!” He turned to face me and smirked evily at me. “You will be sent for tomorrow. The ceremony for the Luna selection is in the evening tomorrow” He stood up straight and looked down at me with a look I was familiar with; hatred. He walked out of the room elegantly and slammed the door shut. I tried to mind link him but failed. Useless me couldn't even mind link my mate. All my body began to ache. I felt hot all over and my throat went dry. I opened my mouth and started gasping for breathe. I felt like I was going to die. Yes! Like I was going to die! I am Gina, a wolfless and weak werewolf who is hated and despised by everyone. They say I am cursed. It has always been like this. And what I don't understand is why the moon goddess would destine me to be the Luna of this pack. To be the mate of Alpha Jayden! I dragged my body from the bed and wore my clothes. Everywhere around the Alpha's mansion screamed bitterness and mockery in my head. I looked at myself and felt disgusted. “Every other people can change into their wolf. You should really die Gina” I spoke to myself as I wore my clothes and walked towards the door. Ever since I have been young, I have always faced the hatred of everyone. Everyone just feels that I am stupid and useless! And even I feel the same way, because I really am! But facing my mate's words now, even I don't know when I gradually became suicidal. I walked out of the Alpha's mansion towards my father's house. “Gina? Where have you been?” my father appeared at the door as soon as I was in sight. “Just went for a stroll” I answered and faked a smile that I knew was worse than crying. But I don't want to worry him with my troubles. But I was wrong. Father looked into my eyes and his eyes changed. “Where have you been?” His eyes became sharp and his pupils gradually changed to black. His claws prepared to come out of his hands. “I'll just sleep it over and be fine father. Nothing much” I felt much better at his care for me and smiled genuinely at him. He relaxed and released my hands. “Just be safe” his voice sounded in my head as he walked back into the house. “And…” he turned sharply and faced me. “The ceremony for the Luna selection is tomorrow, you know?” I smiled at him and nodded. I took a deep breathe and went into my room. The few words I exchanged with my father lightened my mood. No one knows I am the Alpha's mate, not even my father. And I really don't want anyone to know. I didn't even want to go to Alpha Jayden's mansion earlier but even I can't explain how I got there. His thick scent of peach and rosewood was too intoxicating that I found myself f**cking him on his bed. And here I am broken. I lied on the bed and tried to recall the memories of the good times that I have had in my life. None I can remember, except my father's love for me. I can't remember anything about my mother. Father said she was long dead in a battle after giving birth to me. I craned my neck and looked at her picture on the wall. “How I wish you were here” I whispered and slept before I knew it. Jayden's POV: I watched Gina from the window as she dragged her body out of the mansion and staggered a few times. “What the f**k! s**t!” I screamed angrily as soon as she left. “My mate, a wolfless werewolf? Never. I'll rather reject her” I barked at my reflection in the mirror. “But…” I could hear my wolf and feel his confusion but I just shut him out of my mind. I growled in anger and raised my hand to shake off her smell that was all over me. I wouldn't have even moved close to her in the first place. But I lost control to my wolf. “Jayden, I heard your scream. What is bothering you?” My mother's voice flew into my ears as she descended the stairs and began to walk in my direction. I took a couple of deep breaths and looked at my mother. “I found my mate” I replied without enthusiasm and sat on a sofa. My mother's face lightened up and she stared me with amazement. “That's good. Finally! After waiting for so long. I'll tell your father. Gilbert will be overjoyed. Haha” My mother's voice rose and she laughed and laughed with happiness. I expected her reaction anyway. My mother and father had been waiting for my mate till now. And I’m 25 years already. My eyes remained gloomy as she happily moved around the room. “This calls for celebration son. The moon goddess answered your prayers” she placed her hands on her chest and looked to the sky with gentle eyes before happily fixing the eyes on me. “Huh?” she stared at my gloomy face with unease and paused. “I am going to reject her” I noticed her gaze and told her directly. “Reject her? Why?” Her face changed and she folded her arms while staring at me with suspicion. “Because she is Gina!” “WHAT THE…!” My mother blinked repeatedly. “GINA?”
