CHAPTER 5

Phil's pov: Gina left for the Luna Ceremony some hours ago, and I have begun to have a bad feeling. “Be safe daughter…” I whispered as I made my way to the Alpha's mansion. She should have been back by now… or she has been selected… I shook my head and began to run while shifting into my wolf. I don't know… but I just can't ignore this feeling. “Haha… “What a dumb ghost!” “A wolfless ghost want to be Luna? In her dreams! Haha…” My body tensed up as I began to hear the noises coming from inside the alpha's mansion. “Hey… excuse me” I approached an omega slave at the corner of the hall. “What do you want?” she stared at me suspiciously for a while before asking. “What's happening here?” I forced a smile and asked her curiously. “Ohh… that? haha” she laughed out hysterically and sneered repeatedly. “A loser got rejected!!” My heart jumped to my throat as she blurted out those four words. Loser? Rejected? My blood began to blood immediately and my head gradually became blank. I struggled with the urge to kill and squeezed out my last question with an ugly smile. “The damsel, where is she?” “She ran into the woods. Maybe she is even dead, such a hopeless loser. Wait… who are you and why are you asking me?” she turned to me and asked with a raised eyebrow. “Go to hell!” I roared angrily with a completely bloodshot eyes. Sharp claws sprang out of my hands and my body began to shift. “No…” her dead body fell to the ground before she could scream. Anger clouded my reasoning and I slashed the living daylight out of her before she could react. “Jayden!” I gritted my teeth furiously and made up my mind. Death! “You dare harm my daughter? Go to hell!” I walked into the hall in rage and and completely shifted into my wolf, Draco, a burly and fierce brown wolf. “Hey, stop there!” One of the guards at the door shouted at me in horror. He also fell down dead before he could say any other thing. “What?” “Who is this i***t?” “You dare to kill?” The whole hall became silent before angry shouts came from all over the hall. Everyone changed into their wolf form and stared at me venomously. I grinned insanely and stood my ground with my crimson red eyes locked on Jayden. He also stared back at me intently and sneered. “Surrender or die…!” The body of a half-shifted grey beta wolf fell down lifeless before he could finish his threat. I stepped over the dead body of the wolf and dashed towards Jayden with a crazed expression. There is no other option. Jayden pushed Gina to her death. He too must die today! An eye for an eye! “Stop the traitor and arrest him!” a loud voice sounded behind me and a large army of guards in appeared in front of me and behind me, with a burly and fierce-looking man at the forefront. I sneered at him and rushed towards the guards standing between me and Jayden. “Stop him immediately!” With a low growl, I lunged at a black wolf and sank my claws into his neck while flinging him out at the same time. All the guards fell to their death as I stormed fearlessly into their midst with my eyes fixed on Jayden. Jayden also stood up with an enraged expression. “Arrogant” I heard Jayden's shout as he shifted into a big wolf with black and white stripes and rushed towards me. “H-o-w-l!” I howled loudly with madness and attacked him head on. I was completely blinded by anger and hatred and swung my claws fiercely towards his head. Jayden is indeed an alpha wolf, and a very powerful one at that. Jayden grabbed my hand and sneered angrily. “You dare to even attack me? Seeking death!” Jayden bellowed and punched towards my throat. I dodged and punched back at him with more speed. “You killed her, and you must die!” I gritted my teeth and slashed a cut on Jayden's back with my outstretched arm. An eye for an eye! Images of my precious daughter flashed across my eyes and stimulated my anger even more. “Die!” Pain and bitterness surged inside my heart as I continuosly exchange attacks with Jayden. I fought him with all ferocity with blood-mixed sweat pouring down my brown fur. “Arrogant!” A low growl sounded behind me. Five claw marks appeared on my back as I turned back to face alpha Gilbert, the father of Jayden. “I took you into my pack out of goodwill, and you dare try to kill my son?” his roar silenced the noisy hall. I stared at him venomously without blinking. “He killed my daughter, and he should die!” I mind linked Gilbert, my voice not loud, but able re-echo through the hall like thunder. “She deserves to die! A wolfless monster dares to think of herself as the future Luna of this park? Impossible!” Alpha Gilbert approached me step by step while I stood my ground fearlessly. “And for rebelling, you must die!” I stared at alpha Gilbert and shook my head. “Nobody can protect him today, not even you!” I screamed at him through the mind link, madness spreading through my pitch black eyes. Blood continued to drip down my brown fur. “Then you can die!” Gilbert roared before shifting into his wolf and attacking me. I attacked him with all my might, more ferocious than I ever fought before. Old and new grievances mixed together and fueled my desire to kill the father and son. I howled with anger and kicked at Gilbert while moving swiftly between him and Jayden. They were powerful and strong, and I was already at a disadvantage. But I was never going to surrender. They soon began to overpower me, attacking me from both sides. I fell on my knees with wounds all over my body after two hours of ruthless combat. “Kill the traitor” Gilbert shifted into his human form and pointed at me. “Me? Traitor? You i***t! You think I don't know about your scheming with Nicole?” I roared as I shifted to my human form while barely breathing. Gilbert stopped in his track and turned to look back at me with a smile that was not quite a smile. “Don't kill him. Take him to Eclipse park and hand him over to alpha Nicole. Tell him it is a token of my unwavering loyalty to him!” Gilbert spoke slowly and burst into a crazy laughter after speaking. “F**k you!…”
