“Daniel, Dr. Roberts is worried about you. He insists that you go home for the night. Rebecca will be fine. He said so. But it’s going to be a little while before she’s ready to wake up. Please, if you won’t leave for your own sake, go for hers. You won’t do any good if you’re exhausted, right?” She threaded her fingers between his, tugging gently on his hand.
