Chapter 3 Our exams got over on January 22 and we had a holiday c*m break of 2 weeks. Everyone went home and so did I. There were no classes and thus there was no reason for me to stay in Delhi. I went home after a long gap of 5 months. It was the longest time I stayed away from my family. I was excited to go back home and have all the mouthwatering dishes my mother loved to make. Being a Assamese boy and having foodie genes made me crave more for food. It is true that we Assamese spend our maximum portion of our income in food. We love eating and serving food to our guests. Be it a fish curry and rice or Khar, we know to make everything.
