According to Erick, Maliyla fled from the Blood Rose pack when her father lost his Beta title to Nick. Stating that Maliyla's father had gone crazy and attacked her. Considering my position and Maliyla now being my mate, both of her parents would be dead if they touched her, and she would never have felt the need to run from home. After hearing Erick's bullshit explanation, my blood boiled, and I could feel my heart pounding with anger. Not only had he lied about Maliyla's reasons for leaving, but Erick's true colors were now exposed, and I vowed to protect Maliyla and make sure he paid for his deceit.
