What's The Cost

Elena's Pov

I ran towards the castle ignoring the calls of my parents. I reached the gate and walked to the gate but was stopped by guards.

"Sorry ma'am you can't enter" the men pointed to the place where I came from. They actually think I am going to go.

"I need to talk to the moon goddess" I growled at them.

"We can't let yo-" the men were cut off when the gates opened.

"She can come in" the moon goddess said. I walked into her palace, her in front of me leading to who knows where.

"Your here to get back your life aren't you?" She asked.

"I tried to turn away but I couldn't" I commented.

"Well you can have your life back" she said. I squealed in excitement before she continued. "At one condition" what does she mean one condition.

"Anything!" I yelled.

"Your life will change" she said. I was about to talk but everything went black but then a light turned on. I blinked away the blinding light. I looked down upon myself to see I was dressed up in a black gown with my hands crossed over each other. Where am I?

I sat up to see my pack dressed in black sitting in a church crying with their heads down. I then realized I was in a casket. I am at my own funeral. Everything was silent as everyone looked at me in disbelief. I saw Axel rise from the from row walking towards me slowly.

He reached the front of my casket and brushed his hand along my face whining away his tears before

Smothering me into his body.

"I thought you would never come back to me" he cried into my shoulder.

"I heard you by the side of my bed, I tried to squeeze your hand but it would work" I also was now crying.

The crowd stood up and started cheering. Axel picked me up and in instinct I wrapped my legs around his waste. He carried me out of the church to his car. The whole werewolf village cheered at the return of their queen.

When we got back to the pack house Axel took me back to our room. I went into the bathroom and changed and when I walked out Axel picked me up and throw me on the bed. Him right next to me.

"There's something I have to tell you" I looked at him seriously.

"Anything babe" he switched his face from playful to serious.

"When I was in Acadia I made a deal with the moon goddess" I said hesitantly.

"What was the deal?" He tilted his head.

"I have no idea" I admitted. He looked at me confused then opened his arms for me to go into. I climbed into his arms and let my body relax.

"What ever it is we will get through it together." He whispered into my ear. He kissed my check before rolling over and falling asleep.

I wonder what the deal was. Oh well I have better things to worry about, the full moon. On the full moon males wolves take over and then want to have you know what with there mates. It is the females job to avoid them by staying as far away as possible.

I Rolled over so my head was on Axels back and I passed out cold.
