Episode 2

Emm's P. O. V

When it's time for school, I never want to be late. So I went home quickly and straight to the bathroom. Stripping out of my training outfit I hopped into the shower. I started washing my hair with my favourite lavender-scented shampoo as it takes a lot and lots of time to wash my hair. Cause I have really long hair coming up to my hip and takes a lot of attention and care than anything that I give to other things. I love my hair. Anyway, after I am done with my hair I washed my body to get out of the sweat that I got earlier from my training session. And after I am done with everything I finally realised that I forgot to bring my change of outfit, as always. (So. Me.)

"Hey, Big brother.!!... Bring me the clothes from my closet. Please!!!! I forgot. Hurry!!! " I shouted from my bathroom as usually. You see, my brother and I have rooms on the first floor next to each other, whereas mom and dad's room is on the ground floor, so it's easiest for me to order him around. And also because he is my caring big brother, he does it anyway.

"When will you grow up, Emm? And do your stuff on your own? " Nate handed me my outfit while getting ready himself for his work as well and I quickly changed into them saying "Never." I grinned at him widely.

"And don't ever think about yourself getting free from doing these for me, brother. Cause even after you become the big bad alpha and find your mate and have your own family and pups, you have to continue doing these for your cute little sister forever in your life" I tried to annoy him and he just sighed. Maybe at the thought that he is twenty one already and didn't find his mate yet.

I stand in front of the mirror wearing skinny black denim that perfectly fits and a black crop top embracing my every curve on my body. I never had to complain about his choices in picking up my outfits because he is always best at it and also because he is quite used to it for a long time now. What to do?

"Don't forget to wear a jacket. You don't want those hungry boys to jump on you" Nate reminded me. I don't understand him sometimes. I know he is super protective of me but I find no reason behind this kind of stupid comment he throws at me randomly which really really annoys me.

"Oh, Nate. It'll be better to think about yourself first and wear the right outfit. Cause it'll help you to hide your little tent when your sluts throws themselves all over you rubbing t--" Nate's loud growl cuts me off from saying further. I know I pissed him off, but he annoyed me first. I know he doesn't have any girl and he is not the type to entertain any random girl without feelings and emotions attached, and moreover, he is the shy type in this case but I know girls fall head over heels for him and do things to get his attention but fail every time. That's my big brother.

So what?

I know I said wrong but I am also pissed off of his comment and I had to get back at him. Doesn't he know that I want to look good because now I have a crush to 'crash' at school?

Oops!.. Did I just spill the beans??

Never mind.

Yes, I have been crushing over a boy for some time now, and I think he also likes me. Isn't that good?

Anyway coming back to where I was...

I didn't dare to finish my last comment after Nate growled at me. I don't know what came to his mind but he softened right after, looking at me with those pleading eyes.

"I just want you to be safe, Emm." He quickly gave me a bear hug and went down to have breakfast, so did I.

"Are you guys done with your everyday morning drama? Then have breakfast. I made pancakes today. Your orange juice is on the table" Mom delivered her usual dialogue and went to dad who was reading newspaper avoiding the breakfast. And we knew exactly what was coming. Dad had to listen to her long speech while I and Nate were enjoying ourselves looking at the pleading face of dad.

"Do you need me to drive you to school?" Nate asked stuffing the whole pancake into his mouth.

"Are you driving today?" I asked enthusiastically.

"Yes. I am going to the office with dad. He wants to hand me over the pack business as soon as possible. Wait. Why are you asking like that?" I can see some tension started to build upon his face. So I threw the Bomb...

"Because, I'll be riding your bike to school then." I stated, grinning.

Nate was trying to open his mouth to say a NO but before he could I added " And don't you dare to say no, brother. You know that I can ride a bike very well as you taught me yourself and also you said that everything you have is mine. So, in that case, I am taking my bike to school. It's final" I quickly put my finished plate to the dishwasher and grab my bag for school. I kissed mom and dad goodbye and I 'bit' Nate goodbye before taking the keys and hitting the road on my bike for school. Yes, I 'bit' Nate goodbye. You read it right. I don't know when it started but it became a habit. When we were little, Nate used to kiss my chubby cheeks to annoy me and I used to bite him on his cheeks for revenge. It was funny if I think now, but the habit never changed.

I parked the bike at the school parking area and get off only to see Rik just parked his car beside my bike and came out from the driving seat with Lex from the passenger seat. Here comes my two best friends of all the time, Erik(Rik) , one of the popular boys of our school and Alexandra(Lex) not so popular just like me but the greatest buddy and my one and only crime partner.

Rik and Lex are my childhood best friends, so we grew up pretty much together and went to the same school.

Rik grew up to be popular because oh his handsome and manly features. He stands higher than six feet now with a muscular body and well-groomed hair and has to mention that he is a pro when it comes to his dressing sense. As he is also a werewolf, the Beta's son and next in line Beta, which means he will be my brother's beta, added more to the list of him being popular.

Coming to Lex, she is also a werewolf and the daughter of one of our pack warrior, but she hasn't shifted yet, there are few more months to go before her first shift. Lex is a charming girl in her own way, as she is not at all girly. She is about three inches taller than me with a fit and toned and worked out body which reflects the aura of being a warrior. Boys don't dare to mess with her as she is always ready to fight if needed and wins often that no boys like about being a girl. That pretty much sums up her extraordinary charms. To me at least.

"Hey, Emm. Bike huh?? I'm going to ditch Rik today cause we are so gonna ride your bike back home after school." Lex gave me proud eyes of her and I accepted the proposal.

"How cruel Lex. You broke my heart. " Rik, as usual, pretended heartbroken as he loves the drama.

"Anyway, Emm. What plans for your upcoming birthday? We have only one week. And also what about 'that' plan? " Lex, just like me, also spilled the beans.

"What plans? Emm?? Am I missing something? " Rik interrogated.

"Well, you see.. Emm has a huge crush on a boy and we think he also likes her. And we are assuming that he might be his mate as well. So we decided that today Emm will ask him out. That's the plan." Lex poured her mind out and here I am exposed and giving an apologetic look and a confused one too.

"Are you sure Emm? Cause it's only one week left and you surely can find your mate after that. Do you still wanna take the risk? What if he is not your mate and you two start a relationship and then you find your mate out of the blue. What will you do Emm? You know that mate pull is not something that you can ignore. " Here comes Rik trying to become my father. He warns us of all the possibilities that I am already aware of. He looked upset or sad or concerned for some reason I don't know but his words started bothering me now.

"I know" I gave him a frustrating answer. As I am also confused about what to do.

"You know, apart from all the negativity that Rik just spread, there is some probability on the positive side. So don't think much. You like him, you ask him out, it's just a date. And to be on the safe side don't agree to be on a relationship so soon. After this weekend you'll get all your answers. Simple" Looking at my tensed appearance Lex tried to give the best solution as she always does, and also I didn't miss the sight of her throwing daggers from eyes at Rik for being no help. Rik shrugs. I chuckle.

"Okay. That will do Emm. Don't worry" Rik pulled me in a comforting hug and headed with us to the school entrance.
