Chapter Three: Ayesha

Foresha Point of View

“Oh my god!” I shouted. I’m shocked when i woke up and see him near me. It looks like he’s going to kiss me if i didn’t wake up in time. I’ll stand up fast and stepped back away from him. I felt nervous and breathing heavily. This man give me a heart attack.

“Im sorry. I didn’t mean to freak you out.” he said. “Don’t f*****g come near me!” I said to him angrily and had an exasperated look on his face.

“Okay. Relax. Can you please calmed down? I’m not going to hurt you. I swear.” he said and assuring me that he will not.

“How did you untied yourself?” I ask and confused. “You’re the one who tie me up?” he ask.

“No. Im not. My staff did.” I answered. “Well. she did not tightened the rope that’s why i freed myself easily.” he explain.

“Beth is very stupid. Why she didn’t tightened the rope. What if this man is a bad guy.” the thought in my running brain cells.

“Are you afraid that i will do anything to harm you?” he ask. “Yes. Because i don’t know you.”

“I’ll understand that. I’m sorry if you feel that way. May i know what happen and why am i here to your place?” he ask looking at my eyes.

As if he got an answer from my eyes.

“You’ll passed out earlier in the dining area. You’re in my office because we bring you up here to avoid the other customers eye.” I explain to him and look away at his gaze.

“Im sorry for what had happened. And im sorry for disturbing and wasting your time. I really am.” he sound sincere. But I sneered and think that the man had capable of doing anything. “Now that you’re awake can you please leave!” I said coldly.

“I’ll leave but i hope you don’t mind if i ask some ibuprofen for my headache.” This man have a nerved to ask some medicine from me. I’m Totally annoyed at him.

I grab my bag and pick some tablet. I throw it to him. And pointed to a bottled water in the coffee table. “My staff leave the water before she left.” I said plainly to him.

“Thank you. Anyway my name is Lyndon and you are?” he ask and offer me his hand for a handshake.

I ignore his hand giving him what the hell look and said “I’ll think you may go. I need to pack at my things to go home.”

“I can dropped you. This way i can repay for what you did to me.” he offered. “No need. I have a car and im sure my daughter will question me when she will see you.” I rejected it. I really did mention my daughter to give him a signal that i’m not interested in him.

“You’re married?” he ask. “No. I’m not married to anyone.”

“How can i repay you?” he still asking me. Arrgh. This man is giving me a headache. “Don’t bother yourself. There’s no need to repay me. All you have to do now is leave.” I said. Is he dumb or what. He didn’t feel that i don’t wanna see his face and near at me. He didn’t see my annoyed face. It’s all written in my face Or he ignore the fact.

He sighed and looked at me. I noticed his heavily foot leading at my door. When he’s gone I gathered my things and pick it up. Bag on my shoulder, phone and keys at my hand. Turned off my computer and switch off the light.

I’m walking at the parking lot to my car when I see a black Audi car. I’ll think i have an idea whose inside of the car. I opened my car and got in. Breathe in and out to calm myself. Why do i feel tense all of a sudden. “Relax. Foresha. You will not see him again.” I said to myself. After that i start my car and pulled away from the parking area.

It’s almost one o’clock in the morning when i’ve got home. Thanks to that guy i got home very late. I climbed upstairs to go to the room of my daughter.

I smiled when I see that she’s hugging at my picture frame. I kissed her forehead and pick up the frame to take it back in her lampshade table.

“Goodnight my baby, Ayesha.” I whisper to her ear. I jump out when someone will spoke to me.

“Finally, your home” La-Lyn said. “Oh my god. La-Lyn, You scared me to death!” I exclaimed.

She just shrugged her shoulders. “What happened to the handsome guy?” she ask.

“What handsome guy?” I ask. I’m confused and my brows frowned of what she said.

“I called Beth when you’re not picking up my calls and she tell me about the handsome guy. I thought your gonna spend the whole night with him.”

“Ah. The drunk man. He’s not handsome at all. And no. I don’t want to spend my whole night to the man i didn’t know.” I defend.

“Maybe, Beth is blind. She said the man is very handsome and masculine.” she said in a exaggerated tone. I rolled up my eyes and walked to my bedroom. She followed me.

“Don’t you feel attractive to him?”

“Attractive? La-Lyn can you drop this topic. Will you?” I said. I’m getting annoyed to her. This is the first time she pushed the topic about a guy.

“Well. It’s about time. Look at yourself. You’re not anymore younger. You’re twenty eight years old. You are near to hit the calendar age.” I give him a I-don’t-care-look.

“And Five years had passed. And besides think about Ayesha. She need a father even if he’s not her biological father.” she added. And i turned back at her to pick some night gown from my closet.

I let sighed out. “In a stranger? No, way. And besides Ayesha doesn’t need a father. And hello! I don’t even know his name. And i’m not interested in him.” I said.

“How do you know that? Are you really sure she doesn’t? Did you know that she experience bullying at the play-school because she don’t have a father. She really thinks that she’s adopted child not your own.”

“I’m tired. I’ll need to rest. Goodnight, La-Lyn.” I said just to avoid the topic. I don’t want to discuss it any further with her. Ayesha doesn’t need a father. And that’s final. I don’t want to give her some hope that may can cause her broke in the end. She’s still young, very young to experience the sadness and pain of life. And besides i’m not yet ready for open in a relationship.

I lay and tossing around at my bed. Tossed to the right. Tossed to the left and closed my eyes. But still l can’t sleep. I don’t even know why i can’t sleep. I don’t have someone else in mind. “Wait. Someone? No hell way!.” I murmured to myself.
