He’s insane to think that i’m taking an advantage toward him. He wish.” I said in the air. “And he’s planning to see me again. No, hell way!” I talked to myself. And rose to my feet, leaving the note in her desk. ***** Lyndon point of view “Did you actually send a flowers to her?” Jack Evans asked. His brows frowned. We we’re in my office. Waiting for the board member and investors. He’s my best buddy, best friend and best partner in business and in crime. Don’t judge me. It’s not what you think. I meet him when we we’re in high school. Saving him from the other student that always bullying the fellow colleagues. Since then. No one could never dare to bullied him again. Because they’ve known me too well. I’ll always use money and the power of my influential family background. I’m not getting used to it. It’s just happened sometimes when it needed. “Yeah. Why? Is there a problem?” “I give her a flowers to make amends for what happen last night” I added. Not taking any glanced at him and keep reviewing the paperwork that he gave me. “Nothing. It’s just....Well it’s a f*****g flowers buddie! It’s very clear to me that you show some affection toward her.” he stated. “I don’t have any problem with that! If she thinks that way then so be it.” “Buddie. You told me that she’s have a child. And unfortunately, she’s belong to someone else!” he said. And I think he got my attention with that last five words. I eyed him up. Thinking that she’s belonged to someone. It makes me mad and frustrated. “Didn’t i tell you that she’s not married!” “Okay. Let’s just say she’s not married. Yet. But what if the father of her child want them back.” “What if he’s already dead?” I ask. Just to comfort myself. “What if he’s not! And what if she’s still inlove with the guy? What will you do?” he ask. He caught me off guard. “What will i do?”. This words repeated to my brain cells. The thing is i don’t even know her name. I’m just planning to get to know her. I could get a background check about her but i didn’t. Because i want to know her personally. I want to know all the things about her in my own-self doing. And this friend of mine here to tell me that. To ruin my good intentions and also my feelings. It feels like i’ve drowning under the deep blue sea. Or someone stabbed a sharp knife directly to my heart. He’ll have a point though. He’s maybe right or maybe not. But I don’t want to give up so easily. “I think you’ve gone too far, Jack! Jeez. Relax. Don’t jump in to conclusions. Let us see what will happen in the future.” I said. ******** Foresha point of view I’m on the road stuck out in traffic. I grab my bag and picked out my phone. Dialed La-Lyn’s number and put on the speaker phone. And put it in to my lap. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. And several rang she answered my call. “Hey!” she voiced out. “Hello to you too. How’s the meeting?” I ask loudly focusing on the road. “Well it’s good. The president planning to open a hotel outside the country.” “Really? What a coincidence! Did you mentioned our plan also?” I ask. “Yeah. Actually, I’m with them. And the president insist that we we’re going there at the restaurant to discuss about that over dinner.” she answered excitedly. “Well, i’ll think i can’t join you all.” I said reluctantly. “Why? You’re still there at the resto, right?” “No. I’m not at the restaurant. I’m on the road and stucked up in traffic. And I have to leaved early to pick Ayesha from play-school.” I explained. “Uhm. How about we’re meet you at our coffee shop. And besides the school is two blocks away from the cafe. You can catch up with us.” La-Lyn suggested. “I’ll think that’s a good idea. She knows that her friend is waiting for them. “Miss La-Lyn is waiting for you at the end corner.” staff said to them. They walked directly at the end corner. She saw a man sitting opposite to her friend and busy with his phone. “Is he the president?” I thought. My friend saw me and she approached us happily. “You’re here.” she said and smiled. “Mama Lyn!” Ayesha called up and hugged her tight. She picked my daughter up and hold in her arm.  I pecked her cheeks and she’ll do the same with me and my daughter. “Sorry. No, I’m not the man behind. He’s my friend. He just need  to meet someone that’s why he’s not here” he explained. “I’ll see.” I said and nod. Well, let’s take a sit before we got rooted on the floor!” La-Lyn joked. And we’re all sat on the chairs. The staff takes our order. I looked at the man who sat opposite to us. He’s staring at me and turned a looked at my daughter. “You’re daughter is a young version of you.” he said. “You’re extremely right!” La-Lyn jumped in. The staff back placing our orders at the table. And nodded then left. “So. How old are you, young lady?” Jack asked to my daughter. She’s a little bit shy infront of other people. But that’s the first impression. “I’m four years old but mommy said i’m turning five this coming month.” Ayesha answered cheerfully. “Did you know the exact date of your birthday?” he asked again. “It’s the first day of March!” she said while eating her cake. “Wow. You’re still have twenty days remaining to plan your upcoming birthday.” he told. “Yes. But I want to spend more time with mommy. She’s been very busy this past few days and have no time for me.” she said sadly. “I’m sorry, Baby! Mommy will make it up to you. Promise this time i’m not going to work. You’re Mama Lyn will take care of Mommy’s work.” I said and glanced at my friend. “Promise?” “Promise. Cross my heart!” I said.
