Alon found a thick tree within a hundred-meter radius of the trio and climbed atop one of its branches.
"They are good people," Alon remarked to himself with a smile.
"I wonder why I keep taking out loud," Alon said in a dejected tone. He was trying hard but in the end, he would end up speaking his thoughts out loud.
"Helena also seems to have awakened to Transcendence of Heart."
Transcendence came in different forms, and not all were able to achieve it. It was different from understanding the laws; it was akin to creating your very own kind of energy. And even among transcendent, the one of heart was deemed special.
It was not the only special one though. Even if two individuals awakened to the same transcendence their traits would be unique to the individual. In the myriads of world and universes, there were myriad laws, all different from one another, and all had some method to cultivate such laws.
But for transcendence there was no such method, it solely depended on one's aptitude to understand his very being. It also didn't mean that transcendents were invincible, some cultivators of the law were so monstrous that at their level they were able to replicate or even create their own transcendence.
In its essence transcendence was just a type of unique energy accessible to a transcendent.
These people also needed to cultivate laws for them to grow stronger; transcendence was just like a buff to cultivation.
Alon sat on the thick branch in the lotus position.
"It's been a year since I have been stuck at the Orb stage. The road to cultivation seems to be never-ending even though I've just started." Alon sighed. He knew of the cultivation realm of this world by now. Though his mastery of law exceeded that of the people in the same realm, he was still at a very low cultivation realm.
"That bastard Moon, had he not made me waste two years at the body refining stage, I would have long broken through to the Creation stage," Alon said while blaming Moon.
He was strong now neither because of his cultivation nor his transcendence, but because of his flawless physique and understanding of the law.
He sighed heavily and closed his eyes as he further increased the circulating energy.

"ALON"
Alon's eyebrow twitched at the shouting of his name. He slowly opened his eyes and looked in the trio's direction.
"WE ARE SETTING OUT NOW."
Before he could reply to the first call, the second began. He hurriedly jumped off the branch and dashed to join them.
He reached the trio in one breath.
Adam and Hans had their ears covered with their palms while Helena filled her lungs with air to call for him again.
"I'm here," Alon interjected in a hurry before Helena could let out another roar.
Adam glared at Alon; his eyes were saying that Alon was responsible for their suffering.
But he composed himself and walked up to Alon and held his hand out, "I'm sorry for my rude behavior, let's get along."
"It's okay I didn't quite notice that you were being rude, I thought it was just your personality," Alon said while grabbing onto Adam's hand with a smile.
A vein popped on Adam's forehead as he tightened his grip on Alon's hand.
"Eeek!" Alon let out a startled shriek. He was caught by surprise in Adam's sudden attack.
Adam let go of Alon's hand with a triumphant smile on his face.
"Hey, where do you think you are going? I've still got something to apologize for." Alon called out challengingly to Adam while blowing on his hand.
"Let's get going then." Adam ignored Alon's challenge and said the exact same words Alon had said when they set out yesterday.
On the side, Helena and Hans were enjoying themselves.

After traveling with them for another day, Alon got to know a bit more about the trio.
Adam and Hans were both twenty-one years old, one year older than him and Helena was seventeen this year.
He did not pry for any information but if just kept coming to him through Helena, she did not leave him alone for even a moment throughout their journey. Not that Alon minded her; he also enjoyed her company quite a bit.
She also told Alon that they were going to participate in the tournament held by the ten most prestigious cultivation schools, and that is why they were going to the town.
It took them three days to reach the town. They didn't want to rest and headed straight to the teleportation array.
"What?" Alon cried out in shock.
There was a huge line to use the teleportation array, unlike at that time in Likon town.
"They are all headed to Glory city; I don't think you will be able to go where you want today," Adam informed Alon.
"Why don't you come with us? From what my brother has been implying, you can easily get in one of the prestigious schools." Helena let out without a shred of consideration toward the other participants.
"Should I?" Alon let out while casting a glance at Adam teasingly.
He had planned to find where to head to after arriving at the town, and now there was a place he was interested in.
"Then I shall accompany you there if that is what you so desire, my lady," Alon said while bowing politely.
Helena's face blushed at Alon's flirt. She marched off stomping her feet on the ground, walking up to Adam, clinging to his arm.
"You should not play with a lady's heart," Hans said in a serious tone.
Alon scratched his head sheepishly with a wry smile on his face.
Seeing Alon's reaction Hans burst out in laughter, along with a few people in the line.
This time Alon's face got red as he hurriedly joined the line behind Adam.
Hans joined behind him, still laughing.
Now, both Helena and Alon had their face down in embarrassment. But it ended quite soon, as they got closer and closer to the array.
"I'll pay. As a thank you for your hospitality," Alon said heroically to the trio when their turn arrived.
"It's a thousand silver coins per person." The person who activated the array said to the group.
Alon flinched hearing the price but still took out the money, with a pained expression.
"Here."
