Ch.36 Heat

1012 Words
"Alpha, I'm ready to go to down to the dungeons to get this over with, When do you want to start the questioning?" Silas wakes up to Terrin's mind link, he looks over at Cellie curled up against him. He pushes her hair away from her face and tucks it behind her slender pointed ear. Caressing her cheek as his hand falls. She stirs awake and Silas softly smiles down at her. "I have to go meet Terrin in the dungeon. I promise as soon as Terrin and I finish, I will come right back here. Is there anything I can get you before I go, love?" Silas stands and pulls on some fresh clothes and a pair of heavy boots. Cellie stretches instinctually and gasps deeply gripping her ribs. Tears burn from her eyes and Silas quickly finds his way to her side. He wraps his arm around her and places a steadying hand on her back. "Hey, take it easy princess." He gently lifts her and rests her against the head board. He lifts his hand to Cellie's face and sweeps away her tears with the pad of his thumb. He kisses her forehead lightly and sits on the side of the bed for a moment. "Cellie, I know this is going to be a difficult request but it's probably best you stay put till I get back." His hands find hers and as she takes a deep breath and turns her attention to his sharp handsome features. A pit of heat births between her legs as his ebony eyes bore through here. "Cellie....baby..." She crosses her legs in attempt to quench her thirst. But nothing seems to halt it from building. She pulls her hands from his the sparks erupting through her from his touch too much to handle. "Ohhh...I'm sorry Cellie, I didn't think..." "It's okay, go take care of what you need to. I'll stay here." Cellie slumps against the head board and drops her gaze. Silas sighs and stands up from the bed. "I'll have Cara come over and keep you company, how's that sound?" Cellies ears twitch in excitement as she lifts her eyes to Silas's. "That actually sounds wonderful, I could use some girl time." Silas saunters to the door and exits the room. After a few moments Cara sheepishly opens the door and peaks in. "Come in, Cara." She walks over and plops on the bed beside Cellie, in an entirely too chipper manner. "How you doing Cellie?" Cellie looks at Cara's joyous smile and offers her one in return, however less enthused. The heat inbetween her legs growing to a raw ache, she's trying her best to keep from devouring her. "Ohhh......I know that look. Don't worry, the pain is natural. After the full moon it will die down." "Can I get you anything, maybe some water?" Cellie looks up and meets Cara's gaze. "No I'm fine, honestly just bored." She giggles lightly holding her ribs. "So, if you get cleared are you and Silas gonna try for pups?" Cellie paused for a moment, wondering why Cara has an obsession with Silas and her having children. Then she notices Cara's hand resting on her stomach. "Cara, are you pregnant?" Cara's face flushes a pale peach and her eyes flit down to her stomach for a brief moment. "Yeah...Terrin and I found out a couple weeks ago. He was terrified at first but I think the idea is growing on him." "Congratulations Cara! If you don't mind my asking, what's it like. I mean carrying a living being with you everywhere you go?" Cellie turns her body, facing Cara, invested in what she has to say. "Honestly, it has its pros and cons. I don't have much energy, I can't eat a bunch of things, and sometimes I get horrendously ill. Yet, I can feel the little guy move inside me sometimes. They'll dance when I talk to them. I can't explain it, but even though I haven't met them yet, they mean the world to me." Cellie grins and looks down at Cara's small bump. "Does Silas know, has Terrin told him?" Cara takes Cellie's hand and places it on her stomach. The baby kicks her palm lightly causing Cellie's face to light up. "Yes, Terrin told him when we found out. We asked him to keep it secret, till we knew the pregnancy was healthy. If you ask me, I think that's why he had me come and visit with you today." Cellie diverts her attention from the small kicks to her hand to Cara. "What do you mean?" Cellie removes her hand from Cara and tilts her head curiously. "I think Silas is ready Cellie. He won't ever tell you outright. He has always had a soft heart for the young of the pack. You should have seen the way he reacted when Terrin told him he was going to be an uncle. I've never seen him so joyous, other than when he met you. He's probably gonna ask me or Terrin what your reaction was like." Cellie furrowed her brow thinking for a moment. She had never really given motherhood a serious thought, till now. "I guess I'm as ready as I'm going to ever be. But, it all depends on what the doctors say, right now we aren't supposed to...ya know." "I'm sure whatever is meant to be will be, just don't be startled if he brings it up, and dear Gods don't tell him I said anything." Cara laughs boisterously as the last string of words exits her mouth. Amidst Cellie's own laughter she responds. "I won't say anything, I do appreciate you giving me a heads up though." "Well, I can smell the boys coming back. But, I enjoyed our visit, we should do this more often." Cellie nods as Cara gives her a careful hug and rises from the bed. "Keep an open mind Cellie, who knows what the doctors will say." Cara whispers as the bedroom door opens revealing Terrin and Silas behind him.
