Their night was restful and quiet. Silas was woken up by a mind link from Terrin. "Alpha, we did learn something that we thought might be of interest to you." Silas pulled from the bed and walked outside the cave for some privacy. He sat down on the moist ground leaning his back against a tree. "What information have we obtained, Terrin?" Silas, found himself twiddling his thumbs in anticipation of Terrin's response. "Well, we were able to discover the names of the Luna's parents. It seemed all normal at first until we found and old mapped family tree of her Cities royal lineage. While she was listed as The high elders daughter, her mother's name was not tied to hers. We fell at a road block then, till the head librarian approached us and questioned if we were looking into the history of the High Elder who was forced to reject his female Alpha mate. Well need less to say his words peaked our interest so we heard the tale he had to offer." ---------------------+----------------------- The Head Librarian of The Elite High Court "The story begins as most, Elder Ryker was revered as a wild elf. He was known for his unkempt adventures and denial of a stationary life. Within his travels he stumbled upon three wolves, deep with the woods. He knew he had no chance of being able to traverse around them without alerting their senses. He intelligently hid within the dense flora. But, despite his efforts one of the wolves made eye contact with him. To his surprise the wolf didn't alert their compatriots of his presence, in fact it seemed like the wolf sent the others away. The wolves eyes were a soft lavender and pierced his very soul. Seemingly pining him to the spot as it gently approached. The wolf was stood less than a foot from him, tilting it's head curiously. Ryker lifted his hand and cautiously reached out to the strikingly ebony creature. At first the wolf snarled almost causing him to recoil. But as he went to pull his hand away it whimpered. He successfully sunk his hand into its soft white fur, scratching behind its ears. Then before his eyes the wolf transformed into a radiant women. His recounts recall her as being tall and slender. Her eyes darkened from their original lavender hue to a deep purple. She had long, Wavy hair, the color of the night sky. She lead him to a pack of wolves hidden on the opposite end of the Dark Wood. They all referred to her as Alpha Milea Farah. Ryker lived within the pack for a year, learning he was Milea's mate. On the night of the last full moon of the year, the night before Ryker was taken back to his people and forced to reject Milea, they conceived a child. Ryker married when forced back into his role. The women was kind, beautiful, and understanding, But, she wasn't Milea. Ryker eventually learned to love his life despite it stealing away Milea from him. Everything was splendid, until a basket arrived at his door. A child, with emerald hair reminiscent of his own and cavernous burgundy eyes. Ryker's wife saw the child as a gift, She was deemed infertile by the royal physicians, and she always dreamt of having a child of her own to cherish. They took in the child and Ryker's wife raised her as her own. They named her Celendria Farah, in honor of her mother. When the child reached the age of seven, an immense flame devoured the Dark Wood City, Leaving her orphaned, till The Silver Wood elves took her on as a ward." ----------------------+---------------------- Silas sitting outside his hidden cavern Silas ran his hand through his obsidian hair exhaling deeply. "That would mean Celendria is a wolf, although hers has not come to her yet. Terrin, expect me and the Luna to return today. I think it would be safer for everyone if I spoke to her closer to home." ----------------------+---------------------- Celendria Cellie tossed and turned in her sleep even scratching herself once or twice. She was stood within a vast woodland, surrounded by an impenetrable fog. In the distance she could make out a brilliant metallic silver figure with forest green eyes. As the figure waded through the fog she could decipher it as a wolf. The wolf stood about five feet away from her, just peering at her with a look of desperation. " Celendria it won't be long, stay with mate. He will protect you. He will teach you." Cellie attempted to approach but was pulled from her dream by a warm hand on her arm. "Cellie! It's time to get up now." She opened her eyes to Silas still feeling somewhat lost within her head. "Sorry, I had an odd dream." Her voice was detached as she lifted herself up to a seated position. Silas cups her cheeks and lands a soft kiss against her lips. Delightful pins and needles course through Cellie's veins at his touch. "Do you want to talk about it?" He questioned tenderly. "Nah...It was probably nothing." "Alright love. Well, are you ready to head back home?" Cellie nodded up at him. "I need to bathe badly, and get some fresh clothes." Her voice offered an amused aire. "I have an idea. If you're up for it little one." Silas smirked at her as the words slipped from his mouth. "How about I shift, and you can ride my back. It will be much faster." Cellie paused a moment before responding. "I won't hurt you will I?" Silas laughed uproariously at her words. "Cellie, you couldn't hurt me, physically at least, if you wanted to. Come." Silas took a firm hold of her hand and escorted her out of their hideaway. Once the fresh air hit their skin Silas removed his hand from hers and took a few steps forward. He took a refreshing breath, closed his eyes, focusing on becoming his wolf, but maintaining control. Cellie gazed in awe as Silas's body morphed into a massive ebony wolf. She approached and reached out her hand, not once breaking contact with his blazing orange irises. She laid her hand in the fur between his ears. The mane swallowed her miniscule appendage wholly. Silas mind linked with Cellie as she softly scratched his head. "Hop on little one, and hold tight." She obeyed, one leg on either side of him and her hands anchored in his silky long fur. "Are you ready Cellie?" "Yes, I'm ready, Si." Silas didn't waste anytime and began charging through the forest. Cellie watched in amazement as the world around her flew by, like smudged paint strokes. The aromas of petrichor, earth, and oak devoured her senses. Then, just as the estate was in view Cellie felt that insatiable pull for Silas again. The want was burning her inside out, her flesh became hot even to touch. panic started to set in and as soon as Silas slowed enough, to make her actions not dangerous she leapt from his back to the brisk ground, hoping the cool earth would temper the fire in her veins, it didn't.
