Maya barely had time to register the small group awaiting them when something struck her. She wasn't sure what it was, but the force of her hitting the ground knocked the wind from her as both she and Raiden skid across the slick grass, leaving a trail of mud and debris in their wake. She tried to keep hold of him, but he slipped from her. She scurried across the ground towards him, but another figure reached him first, dragging his limp body away.
